Jacquard Gum Arabic is a 1 fl oz liquid binder and emulsifier that enhances pigments with a glossy finish. Non-toxic and water-soluble, it’s perfect for creating transparent watercolors, stamping solutions, and smoothing textures in both interior and exterior art projects.

## Description

Gum arabic is useful as a binder medium, emulsifier and film former. Combine with pigments such as Pearl-Ex and water to make transparent water colors. It will produce an easy brushing or stamping solution and is easily mixed and cleaned up with water.

Review: I use for winemaking! - I had a Chileal cab from fresh juice that was overly tannic/acidic and used 1 teaspoon Gum Arabic in 6 teaspoons of water in 6 gallons and the flavor profile went to perfect! Smoothed out harshness and created great mouthfeel. Totally chemical free and from the Acacia tree, its a savior of bad wine.

I prefer the dry powder form because it gives me more control. If a batch of paint ends up a little too watery, I can add a small amount to help thicken it and improve the consistency. I’ve already gone through two jars and I’m halfway through my third. The price is great for the amount you get, and it’s been reliable every time. I’ll definitely keep buying it.

I was hesitant using this with my watercolor painting, but glad that I gave it a try. Easy to mix with water and paint. Adds a little sheen to the paint which is perfect for some subjects. A little goes a long way. Will buy again.
