So far I love this steam unit but I have ran into one issue. I mounted the internal controller on the rear side wall. It seems to pick up the temp from the tile so it reads the internal temp incorrectly, way to low. If I pull the control unit away from the wall so the back side is not in contact with the tile it gets up to 105 in around 13 min. Im thinking of ways to mount it so its sealed but not touching the tile. There is nothing in the manual suggesting this could be a problem and what to do about it. Anyone else have this issue?Outside of that the unit works really well and I am extremely pleased with it.

Broken after 3 months. Been trouble shooting for a year. Spent 400 in unnecessary parts. They do not have a partner network of repair people. Still not operational and their next suggestion, Buy more parts or spend 999 on a replacement. Good luck!

This has been a great addition to an amazing bathroom remodel. Takes about 20 minutes to reach temp. Installed the 9k unit in a 5’x4’x7.5’ height shower.

I purchased this product for a steam shower in a new master bath addition. It has never worked.It was installed in November 2022. It did not work. Plumber spent hours on the phone with technical support, who determined the unit had to be moved to the attic and re-plumbed, requiring the removal of sheet rock behind the shower. We did it, at great cost. Still didn't work. Plumber checked out, as it was determined to have been installed correctly.I took over troubleshooting with technical support. Hours and hours on the phone,most of which has been spent on hold. Determined it was the motherboard. Had one shipped (for $20 shipping fee). Installed and still not working.Unit fills with water and that is it. The heating elements never turn on, no steam is produced.Sitting on hold with technical support as I write this.Save your money and time, buy a different brand.

I wouldn’t say total junk - but certainly not great. Did not come with a light as advertised. I’ve run it for about an hour, about 3 times per week, for the 6 months that I’ve had it, and suddenly it started running at like 30% power. Had repair guy come and troubleshoot to find 2 of 4 heating elements are burnt out. There is no simple way of buying the heating elements online. You have to call SteamSpa and order over the phone, it then takes 5-8 business days to receive. They are $80 EACH. So $320+tax for all four. Did I buy a $1200 steam unit just to spend $300+ per year keeping it running?? Only time will tell. If they go out again before another 6-12 months, I’ll be returning here to remove a star. I’m not optimistic. HOWEVER. For the time it’s worked, it’s worked as advertised and I’m overall happy with its performance.UPDATE: had the heating elements replaced - and still not working!!! The technician doesn’t know what to do, I do t know what to do, steamspa company is asking me to take photos and videos or it so they can try to help… fear I’m headed down the same road as all the one star reviewers here 😓

First, we paid for all the accessories, but they weren’t sent. Second the machine never worked. The customer service number had me bring plumbers and electricians out at least 10 times to try new things but nothing worked. Then they said there is no warranty because I bought it on Amazon. DON’T buy this -?they got $2400 from me and I I paid thousands to contractors to try to make it work and I gave NOTHING.

I only used this steamer for 10 months before it broke!!! I didn’t use it every shower either. When I called the company, it wasn’t under warranty😳 one of 5 heating elements broke. They tried to blame it on not cleaning the unit. I explained the unit is new! Each element is $75. They tried to tell me I need to replace ALL 5. I told them only one isn’t getting the proper amount of omhs. This is a terrible unit and company. I’m sure I’ll be buying a new steamer very soon. BUYER BEWARE…STAY AWAY!!!

Stopped working and can not get ahold of any support. Try contacting support before you buy….phone number is disconnected and email gets blocked
