I made Bucilla Christmas stockings for both of my kids when they were little and a tree skirt. That was 30 years ago at least. Finding ways to relax, and decided that doing some crafty ornaments for the holidays this year would be a good creative outlet. So, I bought this kit. So glad I did! I've made the first two ornaments so far, and they are SO cute! They are small so easy to complete in a short time. The instructions are easy to understand. I have sewn for years, and even after an extended break of several years from doing anything with thread, I was easily able to pick it back up. For those who have never embroidered or hand sewn anything -- don't worry! Try it! It's so simple to look up stitch directions online if confused by the instructions. Applique is not hard to learn and the embroidery stitches involved in these little ornaments are pretty basic. I'm hoping I have enough sequins, beads and thread to complete them all with no problem. I will come back and edit my review if the kit is short on supplies. I bought a cute little Halloween tree to hang these on when they are done. Perfect small projects to enjoy! Update -- I finished all 12 of these ornaments and had so much fun!! The kit did not contain enough black sequins to finish all of the ornaments, so I had to use leftovers of another color (gold) to finish out a couple of them. Also, the floss included in the kit knots very easily. I found cutting the strands into shorter length and getting the strand slightly damp before sewing kept it from knotting as easily. I bought a cute little spooky tree to hang mine on as I finished each one. Looks so cute!! I used metal ornament hooks rather than loops of cording to hang mine. I had so much fun making these that I bought a Christmas theme felt applique kit and I'm starting on those now!

These come out adorable but are very labor intensive for such a tiny final product. All you need in in this kit and the directions are very good.
