Is there any way to get the shine back?** A: Never put aluminum in a dishwasher, the detergent reacts with it. Probably the only way to get shine back is really fine sandpaper or maybe one of those green fiber scrubbing pads, maybe a SOS pad, you basically need to polish off the tarnished layer. **Q: Do you have any expected solution for the metal flakes on juice issue?** A: Hi there! We had one shipment two years ago that didn't have some of the (food safe) polishing compound washed off all the way, which resulted in what looked like metal flakes in the juice. I can assure you it was NOT metal flakes, and we have completely resolved the cleaning issue with more rigorous QA checks before shipping. It really gets the juice out if you press hard. The only problem when you press hard it wants to tip forward so you need to hold your other hand on the back side. It might be easier if it were mounted to the surface. It would be nice if there was an attachment to do larger fruit like grapefruit or even larger oranges.
