Good’ but not the best for professionals.
Item original .Fits in all ages.Because the inside material is glossy black it doesn’t make the best contrast to observe the ear drum. That’s as far I know it’s the company product standard.Best regards.

they work well but annoying that I have to wash to reuse
Beware it is only 4 speculums, they work well but annoying that I have to wash to reuse. I thought I was buying a package containing a bunch (50-100) of 4 different sizes and was disappointed.

Perfect for wart removal
Purchased these to aid in wart removal by protecting the healthy skin around the warts while applying a topical freezing agent. Works great! Love the fact that you can find the perfect size choice. I've been soaking them in antibacterial soap, but I wish there was another way to sterilize them.

Great product
I use these pretty often and find them much better than the normal disposable and easier on the ears. Buy a few sets though as you need to have them properly sanitized which takes a little while.

and I like the fact that they are reusable
These otoscope specula fit well on the welch allyn otoscope I purchased (the Welch Allyn 22820 Pocketscope) I was worried, and I like the fact that they are reusable. They are easily cleaned and stored for use later. Much cheaper than disposable!

I prefer these reusable speculums to the disposable 'KleenSpec' type ...
I prefer these reusable speculums to the disposable 'KleenSpec' type. Yes, there are only 4 of them, one in each size: 5, 4, 3, 2.5 mm. They are sturdier than the disposables, and also have a more rounded tip which doesn't hurt as much if you hit the canal walls when you have a wiggly pediatric patient. Yes, they work with both the old and newer 'Macroview' heads. I was worried about this because I don't see the little wings in the product photos that hold it in place. All 4 nest well in the case under the otoscope. I clean them with a Q-tip and isopropyl. In my mind, cleaning after each use is worth the gain in patient comfort. I was quite disappointed that the smallest size still seems too big to maneuver around wax in little baby ears compared to the smallest 'old school' speculum. So for babies up to about 1 year old, I still prefer the old school version, which is a very critical age for ear checking. However, it is still slightly smaller than the smallest KleenSpec which many physicians use for babies. So I only gave it 3 stars since I feel the smallest size is still too big.Photo 1: The reusuable speculum working on the classic and the Macroview heads.Photo 2: Comparing the 2 sizes of 'Kleenspec' and the 4 reusables.Photo 3: The Kleenspec tip is sharper and hurt a little more when/if it hits the canal.Photo 4: All 4 tips nesting in the case.Photo 5: Very small old school tip on the left, 2.75mm KleenSpec, and the 2.5mm reusable.
