LIGHTWEIGHT CONVENIENCE
I purchased this as an extension to make videos over the shoulder of someone knitting. Its light weight allowed me to use it without a counterweight when using a cell phone to shoot the video. All of the proper hooks for adding counterweights are included, if you are using a DSLR.....
