Is it 100 yards total or 100 yards x 6 = 600 yards?

Question 2

Is this Reach dental tape "wider" than their "normal" dental tape, or is the wide a comparison to floss? I just want the regular dental tape.

I would say that it is wider, however it is also the texture that differs. If you have ever used a smooth, Glide type floss the texture is a bit rougher and not as smooth. I don't know if that helps but I would not consider this normal dental tape.

This dental floss is thicker than most dental flosses, but it is not as thick as some of the generic dentotapes I have gotten at local drug stores. However, it is adequate for me, although it does seem to shred when I pull it between two of my teeth for some reason, even though doesn't shred with my other teeth. (I think shredding is mentioned by other people who have left reviews for this floss.) I did measure it and it is 1 mm thick on the flatter side. The "cross" side might be about 1/2 or 2/3rds of a millimeter, which is thicker than most dental flosses (and I have tried a lot of them!). That adds to it's ability to do a better job than your average plain thin and skinny dental floss, even though it might shred between teeth that are very close together. Hope this is helpful!

Is this a thick string type floss, or is it a tape floss - tape, meaning flat like a scotch tape? and not a thick string.

It's definitely more of a thick string than a flatter, wider tape as Reach used to be.  I bought more recently and was disappointed by the fact that the Dentotape seems to have changed to a thick string style instead of the long-established extra wide and flatter tape (similar to Glide but sturdier).  I'm not sure why it was changed, unless customers were complaining, but since this product is no longer with J&J, I think someone in the new company must have decided to alter the established design.
