Depends on why you are getting them.
So, I got these to try and make some small nests to use on my tree. I leave my Yule tree up year-round and decorate for the different holidays. Anyway, I did not have success trying to make them. Actual birds might.

Not for Small Birds
The fiber is soft and silky and can probably be used for crafting or for small critters but it should not be used for bird nesting.Within 48hrs of giving this to my birds I had 2 finches and 1 canary hanging from their nests having gotten this fiber wrapped around their feet and toes. This was 3 birds in 3 different cages with 3 different types of nests but all stuck on the 2nd day after I'd given them the material. There wasn't any stretch at all and I had to use cuticle scissors to cut them free. The canary was fine, 1 of the finches was ok although her leg was bright red and her foot white where the blood flow had been cut off as she struggled to free herself. Once circulation returned, she recovered and was fine. The 3rd finch broke a toe trying to free himself before I found him, I'm thankful it wasn't his leg. Fortunately he likes cayenne so we're managing any pain or discomfort he has until it heals. The texture of this stuff really is great and I'm sure I'll find a use for it in some craft or other, or maybe a floral arrangement, but definitely not for my nesting birds.

Finally!
The blue birds would sleep under the deck and not in their houses. Added this stuff instead of straw and they now sleep 2 to a house. THX!

Killed our baby bird!
Do not purchase this! We got it assuming it was like the nest material we had orichased previously for our lovebirds. It does not look natural, but synthetic. We found one of our 3 week old baby lovebirds dead. And when we went to take it out of the nestbox, found it entangled. Then we realized the surviving baby was tangled too. It took two adults and over 10 minutes to get the twine unraveled that was wrapped around his feet. We felt awful that this is why the other baby had died. DO NOT BUY THIS!!! Hoping Amazon removes this. It should not be advertised as bird nesting material.

The bundles are good for nesting finches but wish they were a little bigger for the price
Finches love these for nest building. Be sure to cut them up into short, 2-inch pieces though, to keep it safe for the birds and chicks.

Not good at all.
I gave your product a 2 out of 5 because it is made in Communist China. I am not sure that it is coconut fiber. The reason is , when I was pulling it apart, it look like a shredded gunny sack. It had some long strings and it had a bad odor.
