African Grey LOVE
I bought this item for my 2 African Grey parrots so that they could join the family in the living room. It took them some time to get used to, but they are now in love with it! They want to stand on it all the time. The male prefers to stand on one of the green bowls, but his poopi falls on the base instead of the floor (thank God). The female likes to climb up and down the posts. The item itself was VERY easy to assemble. Its sturdy and although my parrots have tried bitting it, their beaks seem unable to break the hardy plastic. I recommend this item for owners of large parrots. It is too big for small birds.

Have longer Screws on Hand For Stability of the Base
I just received this today and it only took a few minutes to put together. I love it and I am sure once the birds get accustomed to it they will love it as well. Terrific price for this since many other sites are charging approx. $50 more for it. The only complaint I have is that the screws they supply are not suited for securing the bottom of the pole to the stand. There is a wood block inside of the lower portion of the pole stand and the short screws supplied results in a very wobbly and likely to break base. I substituted some longer 2" wood screws and the instability of the pole and creaking of the wood was taken care of. Maybe they forgot to put longer screws in my package but I doubt that was the case, so just be prepared and have 3 long wood screw on hand if you order this.

Wouldn't order again
I've had several perches for my Macaws, but this one is cheaply made and not attractive at all (the photo was much more attra). The perch is very unstable and the feed cups are difficult to insert and secure, but easy for my bird to take out & drop. They're cheap plastic & my bird has already chewed them almost to being unusable. The base isn't large enough to protect the floor, so I have to set the perch on a large mat. We had just moved across country, so I needed a perch in a hurry, this one was reasonably priced and arrived promptly, otherwise I would have returned it. You get what you pay for in the case of this perch

Perches are not good material. Even though it has some texture to the perches they are still plastic and still too slick for a bird to pull himself from one to another. As long as he only wants to sit on the top and never move around it's fine. It is light weight and easy to move around. Nice big base to catch droppings and easy to clean. But not worth the price. If it wasn't such a hassle to return I probably would return it. But i wrapped the perches with ace bandages and it works pretty good. A little maddening to pay that much for a product then have to rework it to use it.

useable but not sturdy..
useable but not sturdy....main post should have either been dropped down to the floor rather than into a pocket/groove and/or secured somehow and it is real wobbly and has frightened my birds occasionally have ended up knocking over the food/water dishes and fleeing the coup....quality of material is fine..just wish it was more secure and sturdy.

Bought in 2012 - Still using it
I bought this in 2012 and it's still in use today. My Greenwing is a genuine 'Reverse Engineer' and destroys everything. Folks say that their birds destroyed the cups. Well the cups detach, if you leave the cup off the stand your bird will chew the slot attaching cup area so the cup won't work there any longer. I recognized this when I got it and in 6 years I haven't let my bird destroy the cup connections by always attaching the cups and still attach the cups successfully. The smaller perches detach so you can pull them off to wash them. Beautiful. Occasionally my Greenwing can pull those out but you know, put the tighter fitting one is the holes that fit them tighter and keep an eye on them. I put paper down beyond the stand bottom because poop. You can see in the pic some chewing around the edges of the cup. If someone has a problem with this it's likely operator error.

Safe and Comfortable for a Macaw
I wanted a portable perch and stand that my Macaw would be safe on and also one that would prevent him from getting down to the floor. My parrot likes to slide or climb down on his other stand and I do not want him getting into danger if I take my eyes off of him for a second! He loves to be out of his cage most of the time but he can get into trouble! The center stand is wide so my parrot cannot slide down. I am not using the bottom perch so he does not jump down. This works for my particular parrot! He can safely go to other rooms. We did get longer screws to put the base and center stand together, I was happy to see and follow the suggestions by previous owners. I also keep the bowls on so the bowl holders do not get destroyed by chewing! Thanks for the suggestions! Longer screws make the tower more stable. That is why I did take away one star, the company should provide long screws for assembly.
