The NeuroGeneration: The New Era in Brain Enhancement That Is Revolutionizing the Way We Think, Work, and Heal

Interesting and Educational - Learned a Lot
For a book about brain research and ways we're finding to make the brain work better, this book was very accessible. Tan Le does this so well by focusing on the people in the field including herself - what they want to accomplish and why, what they've found and how that can impact us now and in the future. It's a fine line between hardcore tech and human interest that she navigates marvelously.I learned a lot from reading this book about where we are in our understanding of how the brain works, how new sensor technology that Le and her company has invented is revolutionizing our understanding of what's going on inside our minds, and how to take advantage of it. From artificial prosthesis that the body can see as an actual limb rather than an add-on, to how we can learn faster, remember better, and cure anxiety. The most surprising aspect of this book was how far along some of this technology is. What sounds like science fiction is quickly becoming science fact. Video games designed to counter ADHD without drugs have already been validated and approved by the FDA.By reading this book, I feel like I've gained early insight into some of the most critical technologies of the next 5-10 years. But unlike a textbook, I enjoyed reading every page.

A great book from a gifted storyteller. Insights from those leading the charge to a new world.
Finished reading #TheNeuroGeneration. An excellent book from, #TanLe, one of the thought and product leaders in neuro-technology. The book is recommended reading for those interested in AI / Machine Learning, Neurofeedback, and brain science at the leading edge. For those who marvel at the breakthroughs in brain computer interface (BCI) where race cars and drones are controlled with brainwave, for those who wrestle with the ethical implications of tools and technology that can not only assist in brain healing but also in controlling thoughts or manipulating feelings and ideas; this is a well told tale from those in the trenches doing the research and building the new tools. Tan's insight and inspiration will help many see clearly and find their way in understanding and the latest discoveries and products that are driving the NeuroGeneration. Tan shares her own journey and the company she has developed. Her insight and relationships with the superstars in building global databases that protect the privacy of individual information while understanding the differences in brainwave patterns resulting from gender, identity, level of income, exposure to technology, and many other factors showing the great diversity of human being and how what is the optimum treatment for one person may cause damage to another. In total, a brilliant effort to help all understand what is happening in our rapidly changing world. Audio available soon.

wonderful book
Tan Le begins with her heart wrenching story of her immigration from Vietnam to Australia, a book in itself. Then she proceeds to bring us up to date on the latest in brain science. She is able to skillfully present a complicated analysis and history to an outsider. Here is a very smart and successful woman. It is a great read. Thank you for sharing it with us Ms. Le!!

Mediocre
I thought I would really like this book but it turned out to be a disappointment. To me it seemed like a high school term paper about the current research in various areas of neuroscience. There is also a great deal of name dropping, self-promotion and gushing over the WEF (4th Industrial Revolution, aka Great Reset) and her role in that institution. Just didn't turn out to be the interesting, exciting read I had hoped it would be.
