I was very excited to receive this floating pool speaker because we have a pool and love to listen to music when in the pool.I was surprised by how sturdy this speaker is, love the feet for use outside the pool and the quality seems very durable to withstand the elements.The plastic is very thick and the spot where the cord connects is so tight to ensure no water gets in.I have had a couple other floating speakers that have not held up but this one is by far the best quality I have seen. I can’t wait to get the pool open to try it out.Connecting to the Bluetooth was very easy, the device name popped up right away on my phone, and the sound quality is great. It is really loud for the size. I was impressed.I also love how the lights change colors when playing music, this will be very cool in the pool at night!

As an owner of the previous model of this speaker, I can tell you the sound quality is much improved! It is much more clear. The sound is loud enough to hear throughout the house or across the yard. We tested it out in the sink for now, since it's not pool time in PA, but we had no issues. Dunked, splashed, keeps playing. The little rubber stopper where the cord meets is key. Make sure that rubber plug is securely in place after charging and you won't have a problem. I love the new design and blue color, it looks like a little UFO and the light show on top while the music plays is very cool. Overall, I love this little speaker. Pairs quickly with the Bluetooth as well without disconnecting. If this is as reliable as the other speaker we own by the same maker, we will be extremely happy! For the price and quality you won't be disappointed!

I don't have much experience with bluetooth speakers (I have another, much smaller one). The sound quality on this one is good, and as others have mentioned it's resilient, waterproof, and very stable with four removeable silicone legs. I like the fact that it gives 360 degree sound.My one criticism is that the icons on the buttons are very hard for me to see, but I got accustomed to which one is which very quickly. I did not feel that was worth "taking away a star" in my review but it something you should be aware of.Another big bonus is it looks like a UFO landed on my desk lol.

We're a family that is always listening to music no matter what we're doing, so we have a number of different 'bluetooth speakers' from large amps we use to tailgate to small portable ones when biking/hiking.Last year we decided to try a waterproof speaker that we could throw in the pool and let it float around. Overall it was a fun toy and worked pretty well, but it did have a couple limitations. The biggest issue was based on the design (a single upward firing driver) whenever the waters got rough, the water would fill the speaker cavity and it significantly impacted the volume of the sound (like you had it on 10 and some cranked it down to 2). Now, you just have to dump the water out, and it is back to the original volume, but anytime we had kids actually playing in the pool this would occur frequently, and could just get annoying.I saw that they made a redesigned version of the speaker that I hoped would address this issue so I wanted to give it a try. Here's my thoughts:This new one has a slightly bigger footprint than the older one, but that is largely due to the redesign. Instead of having a single upward facing driver it now has 4 smaller speakers moved down to the sides & the top dome is full closed. Its still too early to open the pool right now, but I tried it in the hottub with all the jets on full and it didn't seem to take on nearly as much water as the old one. Given the angle of the speakers they just can't retain as much water as the old version did.They also added little feet for the speaker, the prior version just had a flat bottom, I prefer the rubberized feet better. And they also added a tether loop, which I think would be awesome for lake or river use, so it just doesn't wander away.In terms of speaker quality, its really no different than most speakers I've tried at this price point (which I still think is much better than your phone). You can find some that are maybe a little louder/littler clearer in this price range, but they aren't waterproof nor do they have any led lights. Ultimately this just means in the water if you stay within ~25ft radius of the speaker you'll get to listen to your tunes at a reasonable background level and still be able to have a conversation with a group of friends.So far I've only found 1 thing that I classify as a negative & that is the buttons - the button are all a uniform color & this makes it difficult to read the buttons and impossible to do so at night (even with the led on) and they're not tactile enough to feel the difference with you finger. The good thing is I don't anticipate having to play with the buttons once I get it set up, but it would be nice if they could make these a little clearer.Maybe there's a way that you can leverage the led as a backlighting for night use. I would also LOVE it if they added a skip/back buttons to the speaker as well. There is a play/pause...but sometimes when you're playing a playlist you get a song you don't care for or you'd like to hear a song again & being able to do that right from the water from the speaker would be awesome.Bottom line If you're looking for a bluetooth speaker you can throw in the water, I think this newer redesigned version is a good option, especially at this price point.

So far great. This is our 2nd cowin pool speaker—the other one still works great, just a bit smaller. Sound quality is great on this one (both for that matter). Easy to use. Taking this one to the beach next week, so that will be the true test, but i do not expect any issues. Will only update this review if something unexpected comes up. I won’t hesitate to order from this company in the future.

We just recently got a chance to use this speaker and we love it even more than the first version! It was really convenient to use my cell phone to cue up music directly to the speaker. We use this speaker in our pool and it works really well. One draw back is that if water gets into the top, the sound muffles but it is easily remedied by simply pouring the water out. The new design is also easier to see than the lighter colored one so we can spot it while we are swimming. I love this speaker and think it is definite worth it!

I was so impressed by the sound quality of this product. It is great for inside or outside. My husband has been using it outdoors to listen to music as he grills. My daughter has been using it to listen to an audiobook. The sound is clear and static-free. It is a great product that I would recommend to anyone.

Sound quality was excellent so far. I haven’t tried it in my pool yet because it’s still cold where I live but will update with video once I can. Shipping was super fast and speaker is a good rugged quality. I can’t wait till summer to use it outside.

This is a good Bluetooth speaker to buy and I am very satisfied with it. I gave it a 5 star rating because when you take a look at the sound quality, battery life, esthetics, and the water resistant/floating functionality, it scores this high for the product cost. To get better you'd need to invest more than $200Sound Quality Score = 4.5/5. The highs are clear and the bass is decent for the size and fact that it is IPX7Battery Life = 4..8/5. I did get a full 6 hours even at near full blast for musicRange = 4.8/5. When tested I did get 25 feet even through a garage to the source but didn't feel I needed to test any farther than that.Water resistance/build quality = 5/5. I threw it in the water and it resurfaced without any issues. The use of softer resins as well gives a confidence that it can withstand the knocks that it'd get at an outside party though I did not throw it against the wall or anything like that, I just dropped it off a table.

Bought it for the hot tub, but my 3 year old found it first and now tosses it in her bathtub everyday. She loves the lights and being able to dance in the tub now. Sound is better than expected at this price point, but the value is in it being waterproof!

Wanted a speaker I could just leave outside on the deck rain or shine.This one arrived fast and was very easy to setup via Bluetooth.Once setup the sound is pretty good for this speaker.The kids love the LED color changing aspect of it.Would highly recommend.

Very excited to recieve this speaker so far it sounds great and charge is holding. It is a nice size to put in beach bag. Very happy with the speacker.
