Great book with the smell of East:)

ディズニーシーのシンドバッドがあまりにも良いので、どんなストーリーだったのか、読んで見ることにしました。あちこち見たけれど、この本が安かったので、買って見ることに。届いた本はなんとアメリカでは５０ドルする立派なハードカバーの本でした。なぜこんなに安いのか？とにかく嬉しいです。

I've just received my book today and I'm quite satisfied with the whole look and feel of the book, although I haven't yet read it, but the overall quality of the book seems ok and nice enough. I'm aware that some reviewers of Cala edition of storybooks have expressed their concern regarding having purchased books from Cala that was printed in China, but I'm quite happy from what I've seen so far from the book. Maybe ive a more realistic expectations of the book but I'm really very happy with what I've seen from the first few glance of the pages and illustrations from Edmund Dulac seems really pretty and exquisite. A highly recommended purchase of this book if you are a collector of classic fairytales book like this. The shipping price is quite hefty but I'm really satisfied with my purchase, and cannot wait to set aside some free time to immerse myself in these classic fairytales gems of my childhood.

私は昔からデュラックのファンだったが、大学生の頃に金に困って古本屋に売ってしまった。それがアマゾンでうれしい再会である。内部の装飾も当時のままであり、感動した。ペーパーバッグも持っているが、やはりハードカバーの本の方が、ありがたみが違う。１９世紀末前後の欧州挿絵界では、デュラックは王者であった。服飾考察も完璧であり、中国の絵も少々危なっかしいがこなしている。みんなに知ってほしい本である。
