McIntosh Labs MA5200 Stereo Integrated Amplifier

I used to manage a stero store and always wanted a McIntosh. Live 70 miles from the factory and would like to take a tour. This amp is worth every penny!!!

Easily worth the price. Purchased this amp after doing a LOT of soul searching and comparative listening locally to top rated, top end integrated amps. It replaced a top-end, highly rated integrated amp from another respected manufacturer. This is for use every day, all day in my office. Program sources include Grace Digital Internet tuner (delivered through TOS-link digital cable, Yamaha CD-S2000 CD player (delivered through the balanced inputs), Sony FM-HD tuner, and blu-tooth signal from my MacBook Pro iTunes music library and Spotify. After 120 days of listening, I could not be more pleased. Not an ounce of buyer's remorse. The McIntosh is just so musical. Lush, lovely, effortless, grand sound. It has all the analog and digital inputs to handle this all -- plus for a turntable (but not for me, I do not use vinyl). If you're considering this, let me encourage you. It was my first McIntosh purchase. It has me asking, why did I wait so long?!

I've had many top brands of both hifi receivers, separates and I currently have two systems one is a stereo system using this amp, with the Martin Logan speakers and powered subwoofer, I cannot tell you how many people think we have hired a singer or a pianist (there is a steinway in the same room). It truly creates the most realistic sound I've ever heard and I auditioned more than 30 high end brands prior to the purchase, some less expensive and some a lot more. Also, McIntosh customer service is truly unbelievable, you'll be happy there as well. It's clearly a luxury, but this one is actually a good value in this space and you will not be disappointed. Par excellence!!!
