I love it! Who doesnt want a portable, light. Great for gifts but the only thing is, the color can't change only one warm color. Aside from that, and the 3 brightness levels, great buy! Lastly, the light can only turn 90 degrees compared to same that can turn 180. Thankfully the battery lasts long and doesn't take hours to charge.

I love this booklight and definitely should have bought another one. Works well and has 3 settings to control the lights, charges usb but I just plug into the back of my TV to recharge.

These little reading lights have become a permanent part of bedtime at our house! My two kids have been using them for almost a year, reading in bed until they are ready to fall asleep. We now have 4 of these because I really believe they have helped make reading before bed something they look forward to. The amber light is the main reason I chose this model. I only let my kids use the amber setting in hopes that will aid them in falling asleep more gently. I appreciate having both a low and high brightness option. I have actually returned other reading lights because they only offered white light, even when the brightness could be reduced. This one gives me more confidence for them to be less stimulated. Battery life has been great, meaning they are rarely out of power and causing a meltdown. Having more than we need also helps having one in reserve though. We get around ten hours of use before needing to recharge, so charging is not something we have to think about very often. The only feature I wish it had is USB Type C charging. The clip has been the weakest part for us. One of my kids has managed to bend the metal clip several times through enthusiastic kid use. Fortunately, it can be removed with a small eyeglass screwdriver and straightened. But that process isn't perfect. Even without the clip, he happily props his book on his pillow and keeps reading! Overall, this has been an easy product to recommend. If encouraging bedtime reading is one of your goals, even for yourself, these have been a great addition.

Light brightness levels are good but the build quality is moderate

I use this light for roughly an hour per night for reading in bed after my husband goes to sleep and it has worked better than I even hoped and last months so far. The light has four settings that is cycles through with each push of the power button. Amber light dim, amber light bright, white light dim, white light bright. I read on the amber light dim setting and it's plenty bright enough to read by. To turn it off when done you just hold the power button, next time you turn it on it will come back on in whatever setting you turned it off in. I've used this light on overly large hardcover books all the way down to thin mass market paperbacks and it's worked just fine regardless. On a hardcover I can put the clip over just the book cover itself, on a paperback I put it over some pages also so it gets a good grip. It has never dented any of my pages or covers, but neither does it fall off on me while I'm reading, so I consider it perfect. It can clip to either the left or right side of the book and the 'head' with the light also swivels back and forth so you can point it at either side if you desire but the light spread is wide enough to illuminate both at once so you don't need to touch it or make adjustments while reading. I usually just use the swivel to adjust the light away from my husband as much as possible. Like I said above I use it about an hour per night and the light will usually last about 8-9 days before the battery runs out, so I just charge it once a week and never have an issue. When the battery starts to die the light will fade over the course of 30-60 minutes, so even if I forget to charge what usually happens is I'm reading along, notice the light is fading, keep reading anytime to get to a convenient 'stop spot', turn the light up to the bright mode if I'm really desperate to keep going so I can eek out a few more minutes, and then finally give up and go to sleep. While I typically plug it in when I wake up in the morning so it's ready at night, I have found that if I do a quick charge of 10-15 minutes that's long enough to buy me a night's reading time in a pinch. I've carried this in my purse and in a backpack and traveled with it including camping and using it on planes. It's very lightweight and has not broken riding around in my bags. In summary, great light, everything I want including cheap!

I purchased this book light over 3 years ago. I love the amber light low/high settings for night time reading. The charge holds for a long time. Although it is a bit tricky to put it on the papers of a book, it does its job perfectly. You can adjust the settings, and it is very light and portable. As a sleep deprived hs student with multiple AP classes, and work shifts and always gets home late I love reading my books/textbooks in dark rooms while laying down to soothe my back. However, it’s hard to read with just a dim light in the corner of my room, so I bought this. I use this for regular chapter books, and it also works fine on large textbooks (although you have to adjust it regularly for the light to get to some places due to the large textbook.) This has been a life saver. For the price, it is perfect.

Dislike that the light is white and not amber and only 2 not 4 levels of brightness. Like that the light swivels and sits on the book well. It isn't what I paid for.
