It really works!! I live in a rural area, we are surrounded on all sides by fields of hay and corn. You would think the deer would have plenty to eat in the fields right? Not so much. The doe's near us are so bold they will walk out of the field and stand at one end of the garden while I work in the other. They don't even run from our 80 lb dog. I tried everything you can imagine to keep them from eating my garden. Christmas lights around the perimeter, coyote urine, dog hair, people hair, pie pans tied to posts to swing in the breeze, even scarecrows. Nothing worked. As soon as we went inside for the night you could see them come out of the fields andinto the garden. Then a neighboring farmer who happens to be Amish suggested I get these nite guard solar predators, he uses them to protect his chickens and his strawberry patch. He told me he's used them for several years and had no problems. So I got the 4 pack, put them on a post in the center of the garden (each pointing a different direction) andwaited for the magic to happen. I expected it to fail. But over the next week the beans and cucumbers starrted to grow. Its been several weeks now and I am happy to say that I may actually have a crop this year. No more deer damage. It was certainly worth the money for me. I have already told all my family and friends to buy this.

I have used Nite Guards for two years now. I employed them first to keep the black bears out of my back yard. They worked great. Then I used them to keep the raccoons away from my plum tree and then my pear tree. I use them to keep the deer away from my wife's flower beds too but they only work at night and the solar battery only charges when there's adequate light reaching the solar panel. I wish there was a model I can use a AAA battery in for shady areas. Still, I've had no bears going after my fruit or my beehives while next door neighbors have seen lots of bear traffic and consequently bear damage. Night guards are well worth the money spent.

A few months ago something decapitated one of our new pullets & pulled the remainder of it's body somehow out of the chicken coop! It also completely ripped the wing off of one of our current chickens that miraculously recovered! They are ALL grown now & doing well. No signs since of anything lurking since I nailed a few of these facing different directions on a wooden stab. They are REALLY expensive, but I gotta admit that they are worth the money just for the light blinking cool factor at night. They are battery free & totally charge themselves from solar power & always light up at night even on cloudy days! A few of these clustered together on a a stab, beam, or post facing out different directions could be mistaken for an armed security system due to all of the VERY visible blinking lights.

When I moved, the previous owner had these which I thought were kind of a joke until they burnt out and wolves kept coming to my front lawn. Dog was going nuts and no sleep 'cuz it would always be at night. UNTIL these came in. I have had them up for about 2.5 years now and still no wolves. Must purchase if you are in need.
