It's a real red. One of my favorite.

no, this is not a gel polish. just a simple, nail color that can be removed easily with polish remover.

What is the difference between weekly and long lasting, or are they the same?

I would say so. I use different brand long lasting polishes with the Vinyl Lux top cost and find they are similar and work together fine.

Do you need a light to cure?

No light needed & it does last longer than regular polish. I use their Sticky base coat & Top Coat too. Can last 10 days to 2 weeks.
