The PVS-IS4 is a quality PVC vent screen designed to protect high efficiency furnace, boiler and hot water heater vents. The PVS-IS4 installs easily in any standard 4" PVC coupling or hub, that has an opening of 4.500", and is secured in place with an included stainless steel internal wire clip. The PVS-IS4 offers maximum protection from outdoor pests including insects and animals. When properly installed, the PVS-IS4 will prevent bees, wasps, and other insects from entering intake and exhaust vents. Additionally, birds, chipmunks squirrels and other animals can't get past the high quality 316 stainless steel screen. The American made PVS-IS4 is ideally used in spring, summer and fall or in regions that do not experience below freezing temperatures. During winter, the PVS-IS4 can be removed in seconds and our companion rodent screen can be used for maximum airflow. With an outside diameter of 4.470", the PVS-IS4 is designed for installation into any standard schedule 40 or 80 4" PVC hub or coupling. Those who measured 4" on the outside diameter of their vents should measure the inside diameter. Exactly as Described
Great product. Easy to install and just what I was looking for to keep wasps from building nests in my drier duct. I actually bought a 4" and sedged up to reduce pressure drop thru the screen.
