the better the foil will stick
I bought the silver and deep blue foil to diy my wedding invitations and they worked out really well for me. Doing my own wedding invitations saved me a lot of $$ and adding foiling made it look extra special. I found that the coverage of the foil will be affected by three major things: paper smoothness, toner lay down (i.e. Printer), and layers. The smoother the paper, the better the foil will stick. The heavier the toner on the paper, the better the timer will stick, so put your printer on best quality. Finally, I read online that you're supposed to put your paper with foil between another layer of paper - when I did that, I had varying degrees of success, and then I had to keep getting new paper for the sandwich layer because toner would come off and muck up my invitations. Now, i don't put anything on top of my paper projects, i just put a little painters tape to hold the foil in place and send my naked paper projects through the laminator at the 3mm setting. I only have to do it once, and i get perfect results without any smudging. I don't really get any wrinkling in the foil but i also only really foil small parts of paper.

Amazon folds the foil--ruins it
As another reviewer has said, amazon folds this over in the package therefore creasing the foil and ruining it. I have been offered a replacement so will edit this to say whether or not they've folded it again! If ordering I would recommend ordering on its own perhaps so that it's in its own package.Apart from that - this isn't the best foil, but definitely not the worst. May take a few times to get perfect coverage but it does get there sometimes.

Easy to use for a first timer
This was my first time working with foil. It was ordered for my son’s birthday thank you cards. It worked perfectly in the laminator, but I was impatient, so I tried our heat press on high pressure so I could do multiples at once, as I had quite a few to do. It worked!! I will say that 400F is much too hot though, lol, and gives a rainbow sheen to the foil (I clearly wasn’t thinking about temp, obviously that is way too much heat).

DONT recommend.
Tried to use with laser-printed design (Xerox) and was so inconsistent. I tried heating up the laminator (frpm Costco) for 20 minutes so it was hot, I tried ruunning it through multiple times, I tried to use thicker designs, etc. nothing worked.
