OneidaMadison Avenue 45 Piece Casual Flatware Set, 18/0 Stainless, Service for 8,Silver,45pc

I really like the clean design of this flatware set by Oneida; they're also easy to hold and sturdy. But I was very disappointed in the product, since the pieces began to rust the very first time through the dishwasher. I've attached a picture to this review. Of course, these are supposed to be stainless, but clearly they're not. I can't blame the water, either, since other stainless items in the kitchen don't rust - including my ancient Oneida flatware that this set was supposed to replace. This isn't like Oneida, a company that generally makes things of good quality. As I said, disappointing.

I have an old set of Oneida silverware that I love. This set is newer, not as thick and if it isn’t completely dry it has rust spots that I have so far been able to wipe away. The butter knife serrated edge doesn’t do much, especially compared to my old set. I would not recommend buying this. I should have known when I saw the price. You get what you pay for.

Returned after a couple weeks as the knives began to rust on the edges.

Oneida is a known and trusted brand. I felt comfortable ordering this product on-line. The pattern looked acceptable and it is...but the eating utensils are GIGANTIC!! The set came with serving pieces as well, so I thought that was what I was looking at until I pulled out ones that were even larger still!! I really needed flatware and didn't want to hassle with sending them back, but I wish I would have known that they could pull double duty as a shovel!

I’ve had 3 sets of Oneida silverware and always been very happy with the quality, however this set I’ve only had a month and there is water spots and one piece already has a rust spot..
