Review: This is a must have for filtering fruit wines - I used it to protect the pump of the filter while filtering elderberry wine. The particles in the wine would be sufficient to lock up the pump if not used. This allowed for filtering without any issues. The filtered wine came out exceptionally clear using the coarse filters and then filtering with the #2 filter set. Once again, I highly recommend this prefilter. One thing to note is that this is a directional flow filter so be sure to find the arrows on the body of it, and set up your hoses to flow in the direction of the arrows. You have to look close to spot the arrows, but they are definitely there. I later noticed this note on Buon Vino's website: "Note: When ordering you will need to specify that the pre-screen is for the Mini Jet Model # MJT93089-3 (the Super Jet has a different size fitting)". Hopefully if you can specify that it's for the Mini Jet you'll get the correct one.
