I purchased this black bag in a pinch when another bag I wanted didn't work out. I knew it would be an okay bag based on the ratings, but I was happily surprised to find that it's a really great bag. Very durable, comfortable and highly functional. I used it on a two week trip to Paris for my carry on bag. I had it stuffed with a change of cloths, tablet/keyboard, magazines, meds, pen, headset, and lots of other stuff. All of the pockets make it great, but the best part (and the entire reason I wanted it) is that it has a sleeve that slides over the handle of roller bags. When you aren't using the sleeve it zips up from top and bottom, so it can be used as an additional pocket. I searched and searched for the over-the-handle option but saw very few that looked smart. Most were looked like tired bulky luggage, where as this bag looks great for day to day use too.Highly recommended. I'm writing this review because I liked the bag. I paid full price and no one asked me to write this review and I am not receiving any sort of payment for writing it.

So I originally got the smaller, nylon bag from Lily & Drew, thinking this one would be too large. I was wrong--the seller is awesome, made exchanging so easy and this bag arrived today. It was everything I wanted and more! First, it is not oversized like the other bags I looked at (which seem to be meant to replace a carry-on for an overnight trip). While this one likely would hold one or two outfits for a quick trip, it is also small enough to be used as your "personal item" on a flight in addition to a carry on suitcase. That was what I was looking for. The quality of the bag is excellent. It holds its shape and the inside is this pretty gold silk like material. And, oh, the pockets! The main compartment is large, about 8" at the bottom and tapering to 5" at the top, enough to hold a pair of shoes and two days' worth of clothes if you wanted it to, but also small enough to hold magazines, snacks, an airplane pillow and blanket. I love that the padded laptop area is a separate, thin compartment with separate access, easy to remove for security or to access. The front pocket can hold chargers, papers, or even a wallet, and I love that there is a little sleeve to slip your boarding pass in. Both sides have bottle holders. The handles are not too large, but large enough to carry the bag over my shoulder if I wanted to, but it also comes with a crossbody strap. Inside there are three mesh pockets on one side (which I love to separately hold my camera, cords and other items which otherwise would just get tossed in the bag), and a full zipped section on the other side. All the other bags I have looked at and purchased as my personal item felt way too big or didn't hold their shape, but this one is perfect. And while I bought it for travel, I got an unexpected bonus--I have been looking for a "briefcase" to use for court hearings that had both a laptop sleeve and an open compartment big enough to hold a 5" binder. Most are either not wide enough, or have the laptop sleeve across the middle of the bag, cutting the space in half, or are too wide and unstructured "tote" bags without outside pockets. This bag is the perfect size and shape for everyday use at hearings--now my only wish is that they make a black leather version of the exact same bag. I looked for a long time at many products and am very happy with this purchase. And with a Texas-based, family owned business that reaches out to make sure you are happy, you can't beat it!

I had high hopes for this bag. The reviews were good and it was the size and style I wanted. But I have now done 2 trips with it and can tell you:1. The shoulder strap is thin and digs into you. The pad is not much help and is more cosmetic than functional. If you have a laptop, a purse, accessories and maybe a water bottle, you will curse this bag as you go through an airport. I do not expect this strap to last long.2. The straps are connected on the front edge of the bag and not in the vertical middle. This means that the bag hangs crooked over your hip.3. You cannot shorten the strap a lot. I am 5'10" and I like a bag to sit on my hip. I cannot shorten the strap enough for that - the should pad gets in the way.4. The bag is floppy - it looks like it has been used for 10 years already. It flops over and is not tidy or rigid like one would expect.5. The handles are thing and rub your hands - they have a rope-like texture.6. Lots of pockets!

I was so excited when I purchased this carry on back in Aug 2021 (not even a year old at the time of this review). It has everything I need! A padded laptop area, a front pocket w/ key accessory, many pockets for storage, 2 large areas to store a plethora of travel items, great zippers & fits easily under the seat. Also has a trolly sleeve that zips up & can double as more storage. A smaller pocket to tuck your phone in. Padded handles & a shoulder strap! So many good things about this bag BUT i'm heartbroken because just when I thought I found the perfect carry on, it's started to fall apart (see video) The outside pocket seams are breaking away from the bag, the carry handles are also coming undone. I love the bag so much I'm going to take it to my seamstress & see if she can reenforce/fix it but i'm not sure if the cost of that will be more expensive then the cost of the bag. So bummed!
