Some appear to be brass and some stainless steel. This one, although the picture appears to be of brass, at least the one I have, is the stainless steel. **Q: Does this puzzle come assembled? I want to give this to someone to slove?** A: The puzzle does come assembled. In the case of this puzzle, it was much easier to solve (although it was a hard one!) than to put back together! **Q: Does this puzzle come with a solution in case someone gets totally frustrated trying to figure them out?** A: It does not have any instructions, and the words "in case" should not be in the question, they will! Youtube is a great resource to find out how to solve them though.
