Oliver says 'YES, may I have another. '
I bought these on sale at Walgreens Pharmacy for $3.50 for my dog, Oliver. I have always used some sort of treat (with Valerian or Chamomile) or drops to put on treats to help relax my dog. This is especially important as he's gotten older and has mild dementia and is mostly blind and deaf. Upon getting close to running out of these pills I am looking on Amazon for them to replace as they worked quite well. For my dog's weight they said to give him 1 pill, I gave him 2. Worked fine. The pills are pretty big so they can be something substantive to chew on, although they aren't "chewy." They are dry pill form about the size of a cap from a bottle of soda, probably a bit smaller. Also, Oliver gets 2 because he has a VERY bad back from having fallen off the couch various times over the years when he was bounding about, or wouldn't see the edge, or was asleep and got too close to the edge either rolling over onto the floor or just sliding off. It's caught up with him and walks with a hunch and is often times uncomfortable. The Anti-Stress pills help to chill him out so he will not be as active and aggravate his back, and if it is aggravated it helps to calm him to lay down.My dog doesn't really have the pleasures in life he used to such as running and barking and experiencing the senses. His greatest joys now are first and foremost, sleeping, eating and... Well, that's it. So he's unintentionally been conditioned such that when he is touched, which he likes, he gets a treat. This comes from years of getting treats after getting his ears cleaned or getting a bath. So given his current scope of experience is sleeping, eating and getting a treat he's narrowed the experience down to ANYTIME he gets touched he gets a treat. So, I roll with it. This wouldn't go over well for younger dogs, it would spoil them rotten. For him, he deserves it. He's 14, well beyond the Pug life expectation. In closing, I asked Oliver and he agrees these are top notch and work for him. I had come online expecting to find them for $9-10. I would have paid that just because it's for Oliver. However I find they are $5.50 and free shipping with Prime. Yahoo! I'm ordering two and crossing my fingers that I'll have the time to run out of pills before Oliver decides to exit the scene for puppy heaven. (I'll be sad but it's okay because he'll be hanging out with Wobbles, my 20 yr old cat who left us last summer). Until then I'll keep a hearty flow of Calming Tablets for Oliver.

WORKS GREAT!
I was skeptical about this actually working. But. OMG. Our Inca is a rescue Staffordshire. Once she gained her strength she was beyond hyper. I mean literally bouncing off the walls hyper. We needed something to calm her down so she was manageable without drugging her into a zombie. These vitamins worked day one. Not perfect on the first day mind you but we could tell a significant difference. She absolutely loves them and thinks of them as a treat. She is still excitable as she should be at times, she’s about 8 months old. However, even when she gets to feeling her oats she is controllable. As I stated, I was skeptical. Now? I stand behind this product. It worked great for our girl and has made life with her much better :)

Works well, but won't take unless disguised
We have a ten year old Maltese who had been in at least two other homes before we got him three years ago. He has always been very nervous and anxious, and according to the information we were given, spent most of his puppy time in the crate with no social interaction either with humans or other animals. As a result, he doesn't know how to fetch or play with toys and will not give "kisses." The only licking he does is on upholstery or himself. Recently, after a move, he became even more nervous and began wetting the floor at times, whining whenever we took him out, and barking frantically when either my husband or I left the car. He began licking his legs to the point of bringing blood, and we have had him to the vet numerous times for infection. After having remembered a time in my own life when I was under a great deal of stress and began itching, I began looking for something to calm him and found this product. I give him half a tab in the morning and half at night. It has been about a week now, and the results have been amazing. The bare areas where he had licked all the hair off are healed and the hair is growing back, and there have been no more "accidents." He whines less when we take him out and just generally seems like a happier little dog, which of course, makes me happier, too. The only drawback is that he really dislikes the taste of them and will not eat them unless I put it in cheese. Someimes even then, he will just leave it and finally, come back later to eat it.

Inconsistent Results
Sometimes this helps sometimes it does. My dog is getting up there in age and is have a harder time with thunderstorms. I was given some of these from a friend and they worked well. I purchased them to have handy for the 4th of July. They didn’t work that day. I used it when my dad went out of town and the dog become a nervous wreck - helped a little bit but not much. I’ve used it for the various summer storms we had and was meet with the same mixed results. It’s not bad to have on hand just in case. They aren’t expensive either so I don’t feel like I’m at loss.

my dog refuses to eat them. these pills are huge & have strong smell.
Since I never managed to get the full recommended dosage into my dog's system, I can't speak to the efficacy of these pills, but I just want to warn everyone they are definitely not for even remotely picky dogs! Can't get these into my dog's system. They easily crush into powder, which I thought would be the trick to feeding them to my dog, but the smell is so weird and strong that my dog can immediately detect it no matter what food/treat (human or dog) I try to mask it with. He always finishes his meals quickly, but even the powder from a quarter of one of these pills totally puts him off and he won't eat at all. They're so large (about the size of a nickel I think) that I would have to break them in half to force them down his throat. Since he's about 40 lbs, I'd have to force it that 3-4x to get the desired dosage, which is just not worth it. I give him several of the pink ProSense doggy allergy pills in his food every morning and he eats these no problem (they're not even "chewable!) b/c they are small and not smelly. If your dog is a champ at taking big pills or will eat something that doesn't smell even remotely like food, then maybe they'll work for you! Bummed I couldn't manage with them
