Simple, fun, and great to play together with friends/family rather than against them
Excellent game for 5. If you have a 6th peeps. They can be the “dungeon master” and manage the cards and timer.Highly recommended game. Easy to get into. Simple enough for everyone to enjoy themselves with little explanation needed.Various voices on the app are a nice touch.**UPDATE** hard boss cards and hard character cards are warped :( they dont sit flush with the table. Great game. Not sure how else to contact the seller other than a review.**UPDATE 2** Changed review from 2/5 due to card damage to 5/5 cards. Here’s whyI contacted the manufacturer company/team through Kickstarter for their expansion, and advised them that the cards (boss, character) had all warped. They sent me the expansion (I paid for it) as well as a free set of new boss cards, and new character cards. They also sent a note that was personally signed by one of their associates. It was an excellent touch.Just had to state how impressed I was with the company and their response once I touched base with them via Kickstarter. Highly recommended. Game is excellent and I’m looking forward to this awesome expansion! If your finding you and your friends are getting “too good” at the basic game, look for the expansion “Cursed! foiled again!” (It adds a 6th player card, and other excellent challenges!)Happy gaming.

Great fast coop game
A fun little game for a fast play in-between. It makes more fun the more people you are and it can get quiet noisy. It is amazing how much stress a time limit generates and you need to make sure not to loose your cool. Teamplay is essential and it is nice to see how you evolve together to improve your tactics and get faster every time.

Great game for parents and kids
Our young family plays a lot of games and this has become one of our favorites. Both our 3 year old girl and 5 year old boy ask to play this game frequently (we do modify the rules for them though). We've personally played it with kids as old as 10 and everyone enjoyed it, but this is one that even teenagers should like. We haven't yet played it with only adults but it could definitely be challenging enough for that. The artwork in the game is in a cartoon style which is fun and engaging. There are also some clever pop culture references in the monster/obstacle cards to defeat.Be aware this is a cooperative game, so everyone is working together. I like cooperative games with younger kids, but often do not enjoy them for more serious play. This is because one person will often dominate the strategy in cooperative games, but this won't really be possible in this game because it's timed and the game goes too fast for that. As the game's name implies, there is only 5 minutes to complete the game or everyone loses. However, I like that this game can easily be scaled in difficulty by increasing the time to play. When our 3 year old is playing we typically don't time it at all, but can play "10-Minute" or "8-Minute" Dungeon with the older kids without affecting the flow of the game.Basic Gameplay:Each player has their own deck of cards that consists of combat action/item cards and special ability cards. The combat action/item cards are things like jump, sword, arrow, etc and seem to be the same between all the decks. These are all color coded and have assigned symbols which makes it easier for kids to know what they need. The special ability cards do vary from one character to the next and generally follow the theme of the character's class. Each characters also has a special move they can use by discarding 3 of their cards. While there is some duplication of special moves between characters, there are enough that you could play a full game with everyone having a different special move because there are 10 characters options.Once the game starts, players will use their cards to battle against the deck of monster/obstacle cards (the number of monster/obstacle cards used is a good way to scale the difficulty of the game). They do this by matching cards in their hand against the cards shown on the monster. For example, if the monster shows 1 red sword and 2 yellow shields, then between all the players they must place 1 red sword card and 2 yellow shield cards in the middle to defeat it. Alternatively, the special ability cards will allow a player to defeat the monster by playing just that card or possibly allow others players to take extra cards. Once you've played your cards, they're out of the game so players must choose wisely and quickly how to use their cards. This all happens real time as players are not taking turns in this game, everyone plays at the same time all together. The game is made even more interesting by the use of Mini-Boss and Event cards. These are either tougher monsters (may take 4-6 action/item cards to defeat instead of 2-3) or events that require everyone to trade hands, discard their hand, etc. The number of Mini-Boss and Event cards to use is determined by the number of players and is another good way to scale the difficulty of the game. Once the monster deck is defeated, players must still defeat the Boss (the mat the monster cards were placed on), which requires another 7-12 cards.Overall this is a game with a great mix of strategy, luck, and humor. It also scales very easily for different skill levels. It has become a staple for our family games.
