The customer service is amazing!
I wanted a small radio when I was working in a remote location by myself. I looked at all the available units and finally decided on this one. It is very small - less than the size of a credit card, and about 1/4" thick. I used it with earphones, and plugged it into a rechargeable speaker when I was inside. Both worked well. It did acceptably well in reception, picking up a few stronger stations on AM and on FM.It was only able to use a 9 Khz station gap on AM (the US uses 10 Khz), which was frustrating. However, I wrote the seller, and got a personalized response very quickly with detailed instructions on how to change it to 10 Khz steps. (In fairness, the instructions were also explained in the brief user's "manual" that came with the radio.) The reply was prompt, thorough and considerate. I was deeply impressed.Pro: * Small size -- easily fits in a pocket. * Decent battery life. * Locking function to prevent accidental button presses in your pocket. * Large number of memory presets. * Scanning function. * Decent display -- informative of all functions. * It can be used with an external speaker (but, requires a cable -- no bluetooth).Con: * Scan function clears all presets on that mode (AM or FM), and fills them with found stations (or, strong static). This means you lose any presets you have manually entered. * You cannot directly enter a memory. You must scroll through them to get the one you want. * You can tune frequencies manually, but you cannot directly enter a frequency. The Pro's outweigh the Con's for me. I do not normally give a 5-star review. What tipped it for me was two things: 1) It met my needs quite well. 2) The customer service was far more than I had expected. Especially because of their service, I would buy this, or another product, from them again!

Pocket radio
The Jesson is a great little pocket radio. Could be improved with better quality earphones and a longer battery charge.Having said that, good value product.

great little pocket radio.
very easy to use, very lightweight, and really long battery life! charge lasts for 5-6 days at 2-3 hours per use. I didn't like the headphones that came with it and replaced them with better headphones. sound is great and quite loud at max volume. only a couple places where reception gets hinkey but that's not the little radio's fault. after the first use, the buttons are easy to use without looking at the radio and, while the user guide could be more descriptive, the station programming process takes no time at all. recharging is an easy process (radio to cable to USB). I leave it plugged in overnight every sunday so I don't know how long it actually takes to charge (or if different days work better)!! I am happy with this radio-let!

Helps kill time on commuter bus
No issues or complaints so far. Bought to listen to FM radio on bus ride to/from work. Works as expected. Easy to use. Very small. I use a old pair of iPhone ear buds and they work. Reception is adequate. Certainty not a high fidelity device, but if your looking for a small "old school" FM radio this might works for you.Features I wish this device had - lighted display, ability to mute, adjust volume, etc. via headset cord, auto shutoff option (as I've forgot to power off a few times and killed battery).

Battery needs longer life & shorter recharge.
I needed to replace my lost Sony small pocket-sized 1 AAA battery transistor radio. I thought this was the answer. Disappointed with battery life. Day 1 the batter lasted 3 hours. Recharge took 3 hours to get only 2 1/2 hours of play. At the start of my day he radio goes in my pocket w/ear bud in ear. I turn it on/off depending on activity. I always carried on extra AAA battery in my purse when I used my little Sony - did not want to risk missing my talk shows. I never dealt with a lithium battery. It provides a short listening experience. The size of the radio is terrific. The sound is ok.I have no idea what sweetness means. Could this same radio be made an inch thicker and longer to accommodate AAA battery or a much better lithium battery that lasts longer 10 hours and is easier to recharge?
