LeeWomen's Relaxed Fit Straight Leg Jean

What has it got in its pocketses?
I'm not one to rave about clothes, but these are the jeans I've been looking for, well, forever. And there's one big reason: REAL, FUNCTIONAL POCKETS. I am constantly frustrated with women's pants in general, but especially women's jeans, with the appalling lack of useful pockets. I can sort of understand why women's dress pants focus on the aesthetics, and grudgingly admit that bulging pockets aren't particularly attractive on a woman's figure, but jeans scream functionality, and I have never understood why jean pockets are often just as pathetic as dress pockets. I've even seen the fake pockets or pockets sewn shut on jeans, which is always a disappointment. I found a pair of these (a size up from what I normally would wear) in a TJ Maxx and fell in love with the pockets. I bought the jeans in case I couldn't find them in my size elsewhere, but happily found these. My Pixel phone, even with an Otterbox Defender case (probably the biggest phone I have owned to date, though it isn't the XL) actually fits in my pocket without being forced, whether I position it vertically or horizontally. Previous pairs of jeans show stress and wear where the corners of my phone are typically positioned in the pocket, to the point that it eventually wears holes in the pockets. I'm hopefully that won't happen with these jeans! My wallet also fits (though not in the same pocket at the same time, of course). I tend to put my phone and wallet in my front pockets, and ignore the back pockets, primarily because I don't like sitting on a wad of items, but the back pockets also strike me as functionally large (they do seem smaller than the front pockets, however: my phone won't fit if I turn it horizontally, and pokes out the top if I put it in vertically. Smaller phones or other items should be fine, though). I seriously cannot rave about these pockets enough. Until the time that women's pants regularly get functional pockets, these jeans will be my go-to.As far the jeans score on other measures: they're fine. Nothing special. The fit IS a little different than what I'm used to, but I assume that's because I'm not accustomed to the relaxed fit feel. It's not uncomfortable, just different from your standard jeans. The material itself seems to me to be normal jean material, and so far has held up well. No shrinking or stretching issues, and I basically wear jeans 24/7. The jeans are a loose fit, not at all skin tight, which I greatly prefer. I've seen other reviewers complaining that Lee's has updated their related fit jeans and the quality is lower, but can't comment on that as I didn't have an opportunity to try the original, and am pretty sure I got the updated version of the jeans. I'd be interested in trying the original as well, provided it has the same quality of pockets, of course. :)Basically: if you are looking for a pair of women's jeans that actually have usable pockets, you've come to the right place. Buy, buy, buy!

Great Fit and Comfortable - Niagara and Meridian
I love these jeans. WARNING - the fit varies rather significantly by color - from comfortable to cannot button. None were too big. The two pair I kept are not too tight, not too loose. look and feel like they were made for me. Both pair were ordered size 10 long. Inseam is 31". Wearing a 1" heel they do not touch the ground - about 1/4" above ground level. (NOTE: My go to shoe is the Merrill Encore Slide and they don't actually have a heel, but I feel I'm about 1" taller when wearing them.) The country of origin varies and ordering from the same country of origin does not guarantee the same fit. The two colors I kept were Niagara (Egypt) and Meridian (Egypt) and even these to were slightly different in fit - but very close. I ordered several other colors that did not work out - Black Onyx (Mexico), Authentic Nordic (Mexico), Verona (Egypt), Inspire Blue (Egypt). Each of these were varying degrees of too tight. Could not button or zip up the Black Onyx. The others could be buttoned and zipped, but they were varying degrees of too tight for comfort (and too tight is never a good look).

Nice appearance and very comfortable, seem to run a bit big
I have bought Lee jeans for years because they are affordable and fit well (and have short sizes!) They do tend to stretch out during the day but still look ok. I think materials are just a bit cheaper then they used to be. I got a size 4 but I'm going to order a 2 because they seem a bit too loose. Typically I'm a 4. 5' tall 115 lbs for reference

PERFECT FIT!
I’m 5’4 and the “short” length was perfect for wearing flats but also looks great with heels because it’s not too short. Soft denim. I’m a little curvy and found them to be the perfect fit.

Strange Fit; Not for Curvy Folks
I have the Lee boyfriend jeans that are also a relaxed fit, so I was hoping these would be a slightly longer version of those, with maybe a tighter leg. Unfortunately, the hip area is completely different. I second what one of the other reviewers said about these working best if you have a flatter butt. The sides of the back stretch well, but the back seam just gave me an immediate wedgie. I couldn't get them adjusted right. The fabric itself is nice. The Verona wash is a medium dark rinse, lightweight, with medium stretch. The thighs fit just fine (I have big thighs, so that's always a concern for me), but the rise/butt was just not right on me. Not the comfortable option I was looking for.

I like these well enough
I like these jeans ok. I like the color very much. The straight leg style is flattering and I like where the waist hits me. A few nit-picky things though: the pockets don't always stay where I put them, but since I often wear my shirts untucked, that's not too much of an issue. Not crazy about the plastic care tag at the waist. The fit at the waist is a bit strange so I wear a belt with these and wouldn't be likely to tuck in a shirt with these pants. I won't know the fabric quality until I've had them a little while, but I suspect they're just like other jeans and will wear out in the usual places pretty fast.
