This is a great sturdy comfortable chair. I had the previous version of this model for several years and it proved to be durable. I used it for camping, sports, parades and other outdoor events. When I left it behind at a ball game, I knew I had to replace it with another Slumberjack. I am a very big guy and feel very stable and am comfortable in this chair. There is a small learning curve to collapse the chair, but once you figure it out, it takes about 1 second. It is easy to carry with its small handle. You can even carry a few small items in the folded seat when it is collapsed. It is very light, but may be a touch more difficult to carry than one with a case that you can carry over your shoulder. This is the best choice for a large person, or anyone looking for a portable chair.

This chair is fantastic. Easy to deploy, solidly built and lighter than you might think, given its strength.I have a friend who brought this chair, to a sandy desert wash location were we set up camp. Both of us are in our 60’s, with bad knees and big butts. So getting into and out of a folding camp chair can be challenging. The (amply wide) seat sits a bit higher than the typical folding chair; no need to ‘drop down’ for the last few inches and risk breaking the chair. No need to ask someone (or two) to help pull you up from a chair too low to allow old knees function like they used to.Even in loose sand there was no movement or sign of strain in this chair. The bottom braces kept the legs from sinking into the sand and seem to account for a lot of the chair’s stability. My friend has used his chair for a couple of years and it is as solid as the day he bought it.I was so impressed with the chair, I ordered one that same day. I now enjoy my own and have had many people inquire as to where I bought it. I recommend this product to them and to you, without reservation.

This chair is very sturdy and can hold the biggest guy. It is heavier than similar chairs, but I think it will outlast them all. I'm happy with ours.

Chair is used for camping and due to back problems, I couldn't sit in a low slung chair anymore. It is sturdy, the canvas is taut, and it opens easily. I like that when folded the chair is not very wide so easily stores at home and on the go. The only thing I miss is cupholders on the arms.

I'm a big guy, and this chair is supposed to support up to 325 pounds. The chair is wider and heavier than our other folding chairs. It is made of stronger stuff than most lawn chairs. Took it for a test drive last night when we went to an outside concert and it's fine.

I received the Slumberjack Adult Big Steel Chair today. Much to my dissapointment the information tag on the chair noted " California Proposition 65 Warning. This product contains one or more chemicals know to the state of California to cause cancer, birth defects and other reproductive harm." Needless to say, I am returning the chair. I felt other shoppers should be aware of this warning label if considering to purchase the Slumberjack chair.

I needed a sturdy chair. This is it! Comfortable, and the seat is higher than most, therefore very easy to get up from. Very satisfied. Worth the money.

These are some of the best camp chairs I have ever had. Be aware that they are heavy to carry and sit very much upright, but that is what I like.
