Review: I decided to give these a try after running out of the blades that came with my Henson razor, and man what an improvement over the RK blades it came with. The RK blades are good, but these are so much better in term of closeness and smoothness of the shave. The blades are definitely thinner, but the steel is a higher quality so they don't dull as quickly despite that fact and stay sharp for longer. While they are more expensive per blade I can also get twice the use out of a single blade before having to change out the blade so the cost is mostly offset. I generally only get 2 shaves out of a blade due to ho coarse and thick my facial hair is before it starts to drag and cause me some skin irritation, but I get at least 3 with these before I really notice. Because of the millions of items sold, that is certainly understandable. Genuine Feather blades from Japan are excellent and are one of the keenest blades on the market. There are several vendors selling 'Feather' branded blades and, assuming the comments are accurate, some customers are receiving blades that aren't sharp, don't last through several shaves, and do not seem to be of Feather quality. It's a known problem that counterfeit items are produced and sold online. If I were the Feather company, I would come up with a laser holographic seal or similar to mark genuine items. **Q: I have been buying these blades for years . They don’t seem to be as sharp as they once were . Has anyone else experienced this ?** A: Blades are not the same from a few years ago. I have not changed anything with my shaving routine. This last batch of Feather razors pull hair, sound harsh shaving and leaves break outs. **Q: How often do you have to change the blade for a smooth shave?** A: I don't usually go past 4 shaves on any blade. Even the more expensive Feather blades are pretty inexpensive in the grand scheme of things. I don't notice an appreciable drop off between shaves 1-4, but I have a pretty easy beard to shave, so it could be different for someone with a more wirey beard. You can't go wrong with Feathers. **Q: do these blades have an expiration date? I bought 100 stanley blades for my box cutter and what I thought was a lifetime supply rusted** A: I checked m supply of Stanley box cutter blades that I have had for more than ten years and they do not have an expiration date on the dispenser, however the blades do have iron in them ( I confirmed that with a magnet) which makes them subject to oxidation (rust).
