Not for people who REALLY lose their keys
I'm a bit disappointed in this purchase. For what it is, it works ok. You click the clicker, and then the corresponding tag beeps. Let me preface my review by stating that I am someone who has a special talent at really really losing things. Like, things end up in the fridge, in the car, on the roof, you name it and I've lost it. Here are some of my qualms with this device:1) You have to keep the key on the clicker held down while you go an search for your keys. Now this isn't that big of a deal for some, but I lost things, and I mean I REALLY lose things. It's almost supernatural. Things just vanish out of my hands. So the idea of walking around with the clicker, is poor design in my opinion, because this puts me at high risk of losing th clicker. The clicker should be stationary, so I can click a button, then the recover beeps until I find it etc etc. But, by having to keep the key depressed it puts me at risk of putting the clicker down in the excitement of finding my keys, never to see it again. You could buy another click n dig, and then attatch that to the receiver and set of an elaborate chain of click n digs....but I digress. I think the clicker is mobile for a reason...which brings me to my next pointRangeFor me, the range I get is about 15-20 feet which I suppose would be alright, if the receiver didn't have to be in "line of sight" of the clicker. I find that the I still have to roam the house, and sometimes the yard, with the clicker depressed to find my keys. It does help, but as afformentioned this roaming puts me at risk of losing the clicker!VolumeThe volume is ok. Could definitely be a little louder.QualityDoesn't feel well made, but so far I think the only thing that's changed is that the range seems to be reduced by 5 feet or so which could be due to the battery, but I've only had it a few months so I'm not 100 percent sure.Don't get me wrong, the device has been helpful. I would probably purchase it again. However for what it is, and how much it costs, it feels like there are some major design flaws that have been overlooked. So if your the average Joe who miss-sets your keys every now and then. If your like me, and have to get together an expedition and comb the house linking arms like your searching for a dead body, shop around a bit and see what other products are out there

Major Stress Reliever
I purchased this product because my wife had lost her keys for months before they were finally found inside the couch. I don't mean between the cushions, I mean down inside where you don't want to stick your hand for fear that it will get stuck or something will bite you. Before the couch incident I used to be asked, "have you seen my keys?" at least three or four times a week. At first I didn't mind being helpful, but it is quite stressful when you're trying to manage your own belongings to get out the door and you have to stop and look for someone else's stuff every other day. When her keys were lost she had to use the only spare and I feared what it might cost if she lost that one too.Once the keys were found I decided we had to get a device so that they wouldn't be lost again. When the Click 'n Dig arrived I wasted no time to attach one of the receivers to her key ring and proceed to test it's effectiveness. Results: I found that the receiver beeped in her purse, in a jacket pocket, and most importantly from inside the couch. I could hear the beeps from anywhere in the room and often from the next room. I am happy to report that I have not been asked to find my wife's keys a single time since this device came into our lives.Tip: If you touch the transmitter to the bottom of your chin while you press the button it will significantly extend the range. That may be the only way you can get the stated range out of the device. If you can't find your keys with this device within a minute or less then your house is entirely too big in which case you probably have a driver and you don't need this product anyway.

but I can't say I love it. I bought this for an elderly relative ...
Functional, but I can't say I love it. I bought this for an elderly relative who is possibly in the very beginning stages of dementia (or maybe he's just elderly, we have an ongoing assessment with family and doctors, and don't want him to be driving passed the time he's safe to drive (for himself and others). He "loses" his keys and wallet pretty frequently. I put one on his keychain, and shoved the other in his wallet (granted, these are a bit thick for a mans wallet, which is typically carried in a pocket as opposed to a purse, bag, etc., but for this specific wallet, it's ok) It's loud enough, but I thought it would be louder, and I think it should be a little louder for those who might have some hearing loss (that's a lot of people, really). I did a test, with all three pieces, having my children hide the keys (with alarm attached, of course) in different parts of the house. I had to click more than once, not always, but often, before any alarm sounds. This set comes with extra batteries for each piece, so I changed them all, nope, still have the same problem, no idea what kind of signal this set is using, or if there's some kind of interference involved, but the new batteries had the same result as the ones that were already installed in each unit, have to usually click more than once before any beeping. All that being said, after a couple clicks, they always beep, so there's that. So, while this does not work as efficiently as I was hoping, it does work, and walking around clicking a few times before you hear the beeping is so much better than searching the house from top to bottom. Would not buy this for someone with moderate hearing loss though, would look for a louder set. But if you just want something to use as an alert for the occasional key loss and don't want to spend a lot of money, this should be pretty sufficient. Despite my complaints, if I needed something like this for myself, this set would due just fine. (actually might by one for me anyways)

Brilliant potential
Love this concept. It is neat , not heavy & we were able to find my dad's keys easily. He's always losing them. It worked through walls, keys hidden in handbags or coats. Sound is good (though for anyone with hearing loss I can see a possible issue) & it has a small flashing light when pressed. Battery life great! All in all Brilliant.I deliberately waited 2 years to post a review so I could be accurate so while I love the product. ( it arrived promptly & I loved the extra batteries included!) this is what I foundWe kept the fob to locate keys in the car as my dad constantly lost them when out. ( can't locate keys if it's sitting at home & can't press it 😃) so we figured the cold weather after 6-9 months was affecting the efficiency. Then my mum kept it in her handbag , but after a while, it seemed like if the fob touched anything in her bag her keys sang. So, After 18 months she binned her key fob. the light flashing is good but obviously not if keys are buried. The other main issue is the battery is really hard to replace - doesn't slid out easily. So, we currently are having to purchase a new key finder as the new battery wont sound ( we have them 2 years now)Otherwise I rate these 5 star, & according to reviews of other makes these definately remain ( 2 years on ) the best on the market for durability.Hopefully the manufacturer can fix these niggles but despite them I recommend the product & will repurchase

Awesome Key / Item Locator Will Help You To Never Lose Your Keys or Wallet In The House or Garage Again!
Click 'N Dig! Key Finder. 2 Receivers. Wireless RF Item Locator Remote, Wallet, Keyfinder. (Free Extra Batteries) New Model: D2 I recently received my click n dig set and have been really impressed with both it's performance and also it's practicality!I had looked at many different 'key locators' and found many different items, many of which had design flaws such as tv remote size transmitters (or so they looked) and in many cases, quite large tags which often looked either childish or too blocky...The Click 'N Dig! Key finder ticks those boxes for me by being a reasonable size (the transmitter which you use to activate the audio/light, is a little larger than a car remote locking fob) and the receivers which you attach to your keys and/or other items you wish to 'tag' are a good size at around 45mm by 30mm (guesstimate) and are shaped like bells but without looking silly - they are also fairly thin! So, when you go to grab your keys and they aren't there, instead of stressing and searching blindly, all you need do is stand in the doorway of each room and press the key on the remote to activate a loud bleeping sound which comes from the tag you placed on your keys - also, there is a fairly bright light which flashes on and off also - I have fairly large rooms (5m x 4m) and it had no problems activating the fob from anywhere in the room - I have concrete walls and in a different building, it might even penetrate the walls but standing in the doorway to each room also helps in hearing where the sound/light is coming from so it's no hardship!I also found a spare set of batteries supplied as an added bonus and really am pleased with this item.I would thoroughly recommend this to anyone who ever misplaces everyday items such as keys, dog leashes or anything you can clip one of these tags onto!! Really great. Saved me a few times
I ordered this after a conversation at work where a colleague had seen this on Amazon. I received them really quickly, and they're great. Even though they are for keys really, I used one in my wallet and one for my keys. When it first came, my daughter and I had great fun hiding my keys and finding them! I first lost my wallet a few days afterwards, and found it very quickly with the receiver. It had fallen down behind my desk where I'd already looked and couldn't find them (for best results, you keep the button pressed and wave it around - it soon starts beeping). The best time I've used it was when I thought I had lost my wallet. I was driving home and had got about half way there (30 miles) when I realised it was missing so turned round and set off back in case I'd dropped it in the car park. Then it dawned on me - use the Click 'n Dig to see if it was till in the car. I pulled over and used it - sure enough it beeped so I knew it was somewhere in the car. After a few seconds I realised it had fallen down the side of the passenger seat - saved me about 40 minutes trip back to work. Can't recommend this highly enough.

A key finder that works!
I bought this for my daughter for Christmas as she was always mislaying her car keys (busy mum!) after some careful trawling of the internet. There are lot of these devices on offer ranging from very cheap to expensive (Smart App based) but all seem to have some sort of disadvantage to each one according to the reviews. The set arrived promptly from Amazon even though only ordered in the week before Christmas.I have now been approached by the seller to carry out an impartial review with an new set provided for free. This set arrived smartly packaged (well protected from the postal service). It includes two "Bell" locators and a transmitter. These come ready with batteries installed (just remove the the plastic strip tag to power up each device). A nice touch is that spare batteries for each unit were also included.I live in a 500 year old farmhouse made of solid thick brick & flint walls (12-18" thick) and therefore tested the range of the "click 'n Dig!" through these. using a 20 metre diagonal across the house which put two outside walls and three internal walls between us I was surprised to find that the key finder tag worked. It is important to say that this only worked with the transmitter button depressed for a good three seconds (the instruction manual alludes to this fact). The receiver emits a brief steady stream of bleeps whilst the transmitter button is depressed. These were loud enough for me in my house to locate the receiver, but if there was another louder noise in the vicinity it may be harder to trace quickly. There is a flashing LED at the same time on the receiver which would aid recovery if visible. So the range is very good working through solid walls.Next I tried the range from the ground floor up to the Attic (three storeys) through wooden floors. Whilst it worked it was harder to hear the bleep from the floors below. The pitch of the bleep is good as it not offensive, but it could probably do with a bit more volume for noisy environments.I also placed the receiver in my closed briefcase and could just hear the bleep when within 10 metres range. The transmitter is easy to use and confirms that power is available with a LED lighting up each time one of the buttons are pushed. This is a good unit of its type at a reasonable price (£19.95). You will need to think where you keep the transmitter though as without it the system is defunct! We keep ours in a Key safe box so it always available at home (does not help if you are out!).Like any of these products if you are prone to being absent minded with putting things down this will be of help so long as you can get into the habit of putting the transmitter back in the same place every time so that it can be found when required. I have given this item four stars as I feel that the bleep should be a bit louder.

It's OK
The two reasons for knocking off the two stars are as follows: Firstly, it is just not loud enough. I downloaded a decibel counting app and it registers the bleeps in the low 70dbs whereas the manufacturer claims that it bleeps in the range of 90 plus dbs. If you are at all hearing impaired or the keys are inside or under something, then you will struggle to hear it. Secondly, the transmitter to make the key finder bleep is very small and easily lost.
