Are these balls the same weight as a regular baseball?

no they are not they are approx one half ounce lighter than a regulation ball

Will this break my taillight on my car if my 12 year old accidentally hits it again?

Depends on force of hit, travel length etc. Recommend hitting ball away from vehicle's. Not being catty. Had a Whipple ball break a window that was hit by my 12 yr old nephew.

The SKLZ balls are 9” in circumference. This is just within official rules, and so the are technically the same size a official balls. As a practical matter, 108 stitch, leather cover, league balls are almost always between 9 1/8 and 9 1/4 in diameter. The rules allow 9 to 9 1/4. I would personally skip these for that reason, and opt for compression balls or reduced injury balls that are little larger, and little more like game balls.

Do these balls come packaged side by side in plastic wrap?

I’m 90 percent sure they did. Just so you’re aware they didn’t last long. They busted at the seems after a couple of weeks of daily practice with my kid.
