Philips HR1895/74 Micro Masticating Juicer Avance Collection, Black, One Size

***UPDATE***After a year of juicing daily, I am upgrading to five stars as the one issue I had was a user error; you actually don't need to wiggle parts to get the juicer started if you align the parts correctly which isn't totally obvious to the untrained eye.Original Review:I have been using this juicer for about 5 months now and I'm really happy with it!The things I don't like about it is that it doesn't really get all the juice out of the pulp. It's still fairly dry but I've seen (centrifugal) juicers that do better in that area. The other thing is: It won't always turn on right away, you have to wiggle around the parts a little until contact is established but then it makes beautiful juice! Mind you, it's not great for wheat grass but then again, most regular juicers aren't that great with wheat grass either. The clean up is super easy - I no longer have an excuse for not juicing daily. It looks spiffy on the counter, it's small, light weight and relatively quite (compared to our old Jack Lelanne, anyway) I would buy it again in a heartbeat, despite its minor shortcomings.

I got this juicer for a few reasons. For one, I work in the juicing equipment business, so I know a thing or two about it and two, I was recently diagnosed with an autoimmune disease and I want to start treating it with juicing before beginning medications. For those of you unfamiliar, this is a masticating juicer that utilizes something similar to an auger to slice the products into little pieces and crush them as they pass further along the auger. Based on the yields I got, I would say it is mediocre.Pros:-The juicer is easy to put together, although the first time it took a bit of studying the picture instructions.-The juicer is easy to clean, literally takes less than 5 minutes to take apart and rinse.-Easy to use, the auger takes down most ingredients with ease, meaning you can juice just about anything. (I still have not tried nuts).-Sleek and modern, takes up very little space and looks great in the kitchen.Cons:-Suboptimal yield, I can get at least 25% more juice out of the pulp. If you are concerned about getting the most of your produce, this is very time consuming.-Small feeder tube, although this looks to be standard on these types of juices.Here are the yields I got as a percentage of weight of the product. Pictures attached as well.Carrots: 33% (and these were soaked in water for over 24 hours)Green apples: 70%Celery: 55%Spinach: 47% with foam, 41% after discarding foam

Very easy to clean n setup. Juices everything from soft to hard fruit very well n juice comes out very delicious. Only issue is very very loud and sprout too small.

Overal a good looking products (looks like Nespresso not like a bulky juicer) and it can save a lot of space on your countertop. Opening for fruits and vegetables seems too narrow so it takes some time to prepare all ingredients. The pulp from carrot and beet seems dry but I can not say that for apple or celery. Half of the celery juice went into the jar reserved for a pulp...I dont if this is the case with other $300 juicers. I dont have a lot room on my countertop so that was my driver. The plastic tube seems fragille and I can just hope it will last at least a year.

i like that its squeezing the juice and not grinding. More juice this way. So compact and so cool!

The shaft broke on the 2nd use. We're shipping it back.

The media could not be loaded. I absolutely loved this juicer. The big win was to make my two year old son help me to do the green juice and to drink it. There is no more vegetable waisted here, everything turns to juice. I also used the juicer to do almond milk and loved it.
