Starting with the lamp, its really bright. There are 2 sets of LEDs, white and warm white and there are three modes, Warm with warm white LEDs, SemiCool White with White LEDs and then both can be turned on for SemiWarm light. Draws 1A on SemiCool and 1.6A on Both turned on. The light is the best part, very diffused and very brightMagnifying lens is around 2x - 3x magnification depending on how far is away from the object but the working distance is very good and for soldering it is definitely usable. The lens was smudgy on arrival but it is made from glass. It is smaller than expectedThe body is not very strong, the mounting point is the weakest link I'd say. The motion feels really good for the price. The base is a friction fit, you have to take the lamp and slowy wiggle it into the friction fit hole which is confusing at first but with a little bit of work it fits snug. I would have liked a better implementation but cant complain for the money. The base is filled with concrete as i opened it up so its pretty heavyHavent tried out the lamp on the vise clamp but it fits my table just fine and quality seems goodI really like that the power button lights up when its off, a nice attention to detail. It doesnt fold up too well for storage. For the price its a easy recommendation for me. Can do much worse for magnification

I use this for building plastic models to help out my ageing eyes. It does great, though I wish the arms were just a little longer. My only other reservation is that I have another lamp that uses the exact same switch and that one failed after a few months of use. Hopefully this one will be ok.

Product is great,Base needs weight to hold the lamp, otherwise highly recommended, especially for model making

I bought this to help with my hobby. Sadly it turns off after about an hour or so of continuous use which is annoying for me. It's why I put 3 stars. It is a good quality light however in other respects, with dimming and different colour intensities. Magnifying glass is excellent.

This lamp with lens is definitely NOT 8X magnification, as another reviewer already said. The base that comes with this for placing on a table is USELESS, there is no way to secure the arm assembly to the base! The table clamp on the other had is atleast usable and that is what prevents this product from getting a one-star review.

This light is so easy to intall by oneself and it has multiple light mode and strength, suitable for diverse situation! Well recommended!
