This is the only sausage gravy mix I will buy, excellent for biscuits and gravy as well as a breakfast casserole.

Easy to make. Add sausage if you like. My husband loves this mix!

I have used this product before. Excellent taste. Great on homemade biscuits, or chicken fried steak.

Good over hamburger

We used this for biscuits and gravy, simply followed the directions and it came out great. Try adding 1/2 pound cooked breakfast sausage and may thin it down a little (if desired) with milk. Good stuff!

My first impression, after preparing one packet, is the lack of pepper flavor (I didn't detect sausage either). If you like taking shortcuts for making biscuits and gravy (with your own choice of sauteed sausage added, of course), this works well but you have to doctor it up. I added a lot of my own fresh ground pepper as well as dried sage and thyme to punch it up. Coupled with my homemade biscuits, this was a hit. So, basically the product itself is a quick decent gravy. It's more on the bland side than one might expect based on the name. If you know your way around the kitchen, you can save the time of making a roux etc., and instead convert this mix to suit your needs. It's quick to make. But add seasoning.

I've been looking for a good Biscuit and gravy mix for some time and I purchased several gravy mixes before I found this one. This one is the best I've had. My last gravy mix, Morrison's Country Style Gravy Mix, had very high ratings but to be honest, I found it to be too bland. It tasted like it was just a flour and water mix. In my opinion, Southeastern Mills Old Fashioned Peppered Gravy Mix w/ Sausage Flavor is much better in flavor. I will buy again.
