Love all lonely planet books. They give you great tips and tricks and the best ways to go from place to place. I don’t travel without a trusty lonely planet book.

LP guides were a hard sell for me, but they are practical and packed with good info and they manage it fairly well given their limited space. This one helped me get around NYC and pin down some of the major sites. And we'll be using it again later this month for another trip!

These are fantastic books they go into the history of the country as well as providing helpful tips on attractions to visit as well as places to eat and stayI always opt for lonely planet books if I'm going to a destination where I'm spending more money and want to make the most of my tripI'm going to New York next year with friends who have been before however there are plenty of good suggestions on places to visit that they have not been to before so it's well worth buying thisThe maps are great and attractions are broken down into areas so you can get the most of each area you visitA very interesting read and well worth buying to make the most of your time away
