These blocks are such a fun and personal toy! I love that you can customize them with photos — it makes playtime so much more meaningful. They’re soft, safe for little hands, and perfect for helping my baby with stacking and recognition skills. Definitely a mama must-have!

These dice are perfect for my preschoolers. I have four kids between 6 and 3 years old to keep busy this summer, so I searched Pinterest for ideas. One of them was to put action and directional words on two dice made out of spare gift boxes, and to do the combination that came out on top (example: "kick/backwards"). Another was to put action and animal words on two dice made from cardstock paper (example: "sing/like a dinosaur"). Both seemed like great ideas but that they'd get destroyed quickly, so I searched Amazon for blocks I could use instead. I found these, which are even better than the wood or plastic I had in mind! They're just the right size for little kids to hold (a large handful for an adult), and the pockets mean that if they get bored of the words I chose I can easily replace them. The papers don't fall out even when tossed. The soft foam shape means I don't need to worry if they throw a bit too hard—no one will get hurt like they might with wood or plastic dice—and they will hold up much longer than thin cardboard or paper would. (Bonus: They're washable!) The negative is because these are foam and made fairly cheaply, they're not perfect cubes. For the most part it's fine, but one of my blocks tends to land on the same two sides. It just means I have to switch around the cards I made on that dice occasionally so they don't always get "monkey" and "dinosaur." For this preschooler activity it's fine enough, or as a photo cube for babies it wouldn't matter at all, but I mention it in case that matters to someone considering these. In case someone wants to copy me, here are the words I put in this time. You can use any words you like though. It's a fun game that gets their wiggles out, brings out their silliness (imagine hopping in a circle like an elephant), and can be played alone, in pairs, or in a group. ACTION 1. kick 2. jump 3. spin 4. hop 5. fly 6. run ACTION 1. stomp 2. wiggle 3. eat 4. sing 5. walk 6. swim DIRECTIONAL 1. backwards 2. forwards 3. sideways 4. fast 5. slow 6. in a circle ANIMAL 1. bee 2. cat 3. frog 4. monkey 5. dinosaur 6. elephant

Super cute, developmental and fun. But there's no way to stop kids from pulling the pictures right out. I mean, if it's designed for this age group it really should have a mechanism to prevent that. Otherwise, they're so cool. I found 3.5" square photos fit the best.

The four photo blocks are adorable. Great size, cut a photo to fit slot (make sure to read info…pictures are NOT 4x6 as it is stated). Cut your pic to fit and you’re good to go! My 1 year old granddaughter LOVES to see pictures of everyone including herself! Blocks fit fine in holder they came in. Great personalized gift for a reasonable cost!
