Review: So glad I discovered these unique adult Lego sets! - I always struggle to find a unique gift for our family's Sneaky Santa game, so when I ran across this beautiful adult Lego set while browsing for young children's Duplo toys it grabbed my attention. This (along with a can of gourmet cheese ordered from WSU) will be my game gift this Christmas, as several of my family members enjoy puzzle and game nights. Of course this set isn't exactly a 3-D puzzle, although with almost 900 pieces I suppose it could be if one were ambitious and didn't look at the instructions! Hopefully whoever winds up with it and their spouse or gf/bf will enjoy an evening of fun while assembling it. When it arrived I was impressed by the rather sophisticated look of the box and the appearance of both the green and the pink interchangeable versions of the bonsai tree. This does not look like a toy. As so many reviews note, the completed build will make an attractive and rather unique display piece as well as being a relaxing and satisfying activity. I love the added touch of the little pink frogs! I even ordered another set for myself for later but haven't opened the box yet. I also discovered that Lego makes a large variety of similar sets intended for adults, and other similar sets that are not as complex for ages 7 or 8 years and up that don't look like the basic Lego toys. I ordered the smaller adult miniature orchid set and will make that one first. (The live orchids I'm gifted don't seem to thrive despite my best efforts so maybe this Lego orchid will!) Many of the project sets for ages 7 or 8 and up can construct a choice of three things. There are hummingbird and many other sets that make attractive displays, and according to reviews are enjoyed by adults. Edit: I have now made the little pink manual typewriter 3-in-1 and it's a cute, unique display which I enjoyed making. I mention these because I think these (some of the adult, or ages 7 or 8 and up) project-specific sets might be a good gift and welcomed activity for some senior adults and assisted living residents, depending on their abilities, as long as their eyesight is sufficient to see such small Lego pieces. (Unfortunately my older sister's eyesight isn't good enough, or I would give her the little pink typewriter set marked for ages 8 and up.) Kudos to Lego for making these lovely non-toy project sets that appeal to adults.
Review: A Breathtaking Blooming Beauty: The LEGO Bonsai Tree! - I recently treated myself to the LEGO Bonsai Tree set, and I must say, it has exceeded all my expectations! As an avid LEGO enthusiast and a lover of nature, this kit beautifully combines the best of both worlds, allowing me to build and display a stunning piece of art that adds a touch of serenity to my living space. First and foremost, the level of detail in this set is mind-blowing. The intricate branches, the delicate cherry blossom blooms, and the meticulously designed base - every aspect has been thoughtfully crafted to resemble a real bonsai tree. The use of different shades of green and pink bricks for the foliage adds a natural and lifelike feel to the tree, making it a truly captivating centerpiece. The building process itself was an absolute pleasure. LEGO's clear and well-illustrated instructions made assembling the bonsai tree a breeze. Additionally, the set comes with an alternate set of pink blossoms, allowing me to switch between a springtime bloom and a more subtle green leafy look. The versatility of the design is a fantastic feature that lets me tailor the tree to my mood and the changing seasons. Once completed, the LEGO Bonsai Tree became an eye-catching conversation starter in my home. Its presence is both calming and charming, and it brings a sense of tranquility to any room. Whether placed on a bookshelf, a coffee table, or even as a centerpiece for a dining table, it adds a touch of elegance and a splash of color to the surroundings. What I love most about this LEGO set is its ability to offer a meditative building experience. As I carefully assembled each piece, I found myself completely immersed in the process, and it provided a much-needed escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. It's not just a LEGO set; it's a therapeutic creative journey that brings joy and fulfillment. Lastly, I appreciate LEGO's commitment to sustainability. The set includes plant-based elements, which aligns perfectly with my values as an environmentally conscious individual. Kudos to LEGO for taking steps toward a greener future! In conclusion, the LEGO Bonsai Tree is a delightful masterpiece that brings nature and creativity together in a harmonious and rewarding way. Its aesthetic appeal, coupled with the joy of building, makes it an exceptional addition to any LEGO collection or a perfect gift for nature lovers and LEGO enthusiasts alike. I can't recommend this set enough - it's a definite must-have!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Am I missing something? What's with the pink frogs???**
A: This designer is known for using frogs in his sets. It's not uncommon in the Lego world to use other pieces to represent something else. Like the Chinese Lantern Festival has blue bananas on the top of gazebo/pavilion.

**Q: Those are frogs right?**
A: Your eyes are right, those are pink frogs! - Michael, LEGO® Customer Service

**Q: Is this product lego bricks?**
A: This bonsai tree is compatible with Lego, tenhorses bricks follow Lego bricks standards. Many people buy Lego succulents 10309, Lego orchids 10311 are combined together, They are all great for home decoration.

**Q: How many pieces are used to actually finish the tree (either the green one or pink one). The set comes with 878 pieces, but how many are "leftover"?**
A: Hi there! As the set can be custom arranged, the remaining pieces will depend on the season you have chosen. You can check the parts list at the end of the building instructions on LEGO.build/BI-Amazon and see how many pink or green pieces are listed! - Sonia, LEGO® Customer Service
