Bloc Skylight For Velux Roof Windows MK04 Night Sky Blackout

I’ve fitted a lot of things in my life and I have to say this is the is easiest ever! Couldn’t recommend them enough, fantastic value for money 👌

Further edited to reflect ongoing issues. These blinds are garbage, do not buy.Have contacted the manufacturer Bloc for advice, who are listed on the sales page as support. However, their answer was simply ‘you’ll have to contact Amazon’. No help whatsoever with their shoddy product that clearly has a major fault. These are a doddle to fit to wooden Velux windows, initially they fit perfect and look perfect. However, after a couple of months they both sat at an angle so don’t touch the bottom of the window on one side, leaving a large gap. I have two of the blinds and two windows and they’re both the same, so it’s clearly an issue with the blinds themselves. The fittings are still rock solid into the wooden frames so they haven’t moved. Edit: They have gotten worse and worse, to the point they now sit so unevenly that the material is crumpling on one side and coming out of the runners. There is no issue with how they are fitted, and I have removed and refitted both blinds which made no difference.

Lovely blinds. Fit is perfect. Installing was kinda tricky. But does the job. Keeps the light out.

The whole thing is a bit chunkier than the velux oem equipment it replaces and is amazingly only 4 screws to fix. 5 starsThe star design is a bit bolder too.Sticky strip did not really stick, but no problem - still easy to fit if window is set vertically and a magnetic screwdriver used.Simple to fit and simple to operate. Do read instructions!No problem recommending on price and quality.

I bought two of these to replace the original Velux blinds.The Velux springs for rewinding (10 years old) had got tired. I decided to give these a try as replacements.These blinds make a very close copy of the Velux, are easier to fit, and way cheaper to buy.The major difference in operation is that the Velux pull up and down simply by gripping the bottom bar. These blinds also have a bottom bar, but to pull them up and down you have to push the bottom bar in towards the glass then move them. Someone used to the straight up and down Velux procedure would think these had jammed, - until they pushed the bar in and then moved them.
