Iphone 4/4s Lunatik Taktik Extreme Premium Protection System with Corning Gorilla Glass Metal Case for Iphone 4/4s (Black)

Ok, I did my fair amount of research over this type of case for the iphone by looking at the real one on the Lunatik website, which was anywhere from 80-$100, looking at them on ebay, amazon, and other misc. websites. I didn't want to spend that much on a phone case even though they are really cool and proective, so I looked around some more and the one I found was on amazon for $33, which is about the same price as a good otterbox (online), and it also had many good reviews with a few bad ones.I was looking at a survivor case, but I found this one, so I got it, even though I was skeptical about what (actually) came in the box when it came. The date that it was estimated to arrive was about 4 weeks after my order, which blew my mind, but it arrives 2 weeks later like I had hoped, seeing as though it came from china. I was very pleased with the fact that everything in the description was the way it was. It came with an extra 3 screws despite that some others got 2 or even 1, and a screen cleaner. The back of the box was magnetic so u could view the back of the phone case. As far as the description for the real phone case as compared to this case, the only difference I could see is that this one came with a plastic headphone jack cover, while the real one comes with an aluminum one, but the back of this case is aluminum, like the real deal. This case is not water proof by any means, because the only uncovered spot on the case is where the speakers are on the bottom of the phone, pretty deep inside case, yes, but not covered. Top case half is plastic with metal bushings for screws, middle bezel is some kind of rubber material, and the back is made of aluminum. Im pretty confident that this case will last longer than my otterbox did (one year) I hope this lengthy review helps you!

It came on time in a so-so official box. The box wasnt as pictured but thats no problem for me. It came with a screw driver to put the screws in. That didnt work the greatest so i just used the smallest allen wrench i had. My phone went into the gel portion of the case very snugly. There is a little peg to switch between vibrate and noise. That annoyed me so i just took it out. The peg kept getting pushed while it was in my pocket. The back half of the case is metal but the front half is not. The screws are of course metal. The gorilla glass works fairly well but i sometimes have trouble typing on it. The raised sides makes getting to the actual screen slightly difficult so you have to really line the edge to get something like a spacebar instead of an N. My brother picked it up and said it was very bulky and heavy. This is a given that the case has metal and a lot of hardware on it. He didnt believe me that it was as tough as a Griffin case (which is a case Comcast, the company my dad works for, uses. When they are being given out, the guy who demonstrated the case took his and chucked it across the room.) so i took the Lunatik case and did the same. No damage to the case or the phone. Slides in/out of pockets pretty well. Pulls on my pocket slightly due to the rubber but thats no problem for me. Overall 4 since i had to remove the peg thingamajig. Great case.

This case is an amazing asset to the protection of your iPhone. It is a solid, reliable, and well structured case that will protect your phone against drops, scrapes, and slips without a problem. And while the case isn't completely water proof it is extremely water resistant. For people interested in protecting their phone, this is the definite answer to that desire.But a heads up before you do, there are a couple of unforeseen aspects of the case that aren't compatible with every phone user.1) The case is relatively difficult to assemble and remove as it requires six small screws and a specialized screwdriver to affix the case.2) This is important if you take car trips and use your GPS. The function for pinpointing your phone's position will not work as well with this case on. If you encounter this problem it is not because of the phone, but due to the case. However this can be simply fixed by removing the case before inputing the location.3) The weight of the case is considerable given the fact it is composed out of metal. It fits in your pocket very well and I personally like the heaviness, but if you don't appreciate more solid cases then this one might not fit you.Other than that this case is astonishingly functional and protective of you phone. It also looks badass and, in extreme cases of emergency, can be utilized as a weapon. Just aim for the person and throw it hard or use it as a miniature baton. Either works. I fully appreciate and reccomend this case for anyone desiring a robust and dependable protection system for their case.

Ok, well I was skeptical at first, what with all the "knockoffs" out there, but I have to say...This is pretty much (at least from what I can tell) the real deal. Build quality is top notch and the Lunatik name is not painted on but stamped into the frame. The gorilla glass had one tiny imperfection, but it isnt significant. Case went together flawlessly with none of the reported issues with fit and build reported with some of the knockoffs. I should also note that I haven't had any loss of signal strength (Cell or Wi-Fi) either. So I am wondering if the seller might have gotten these cases wholesale, but hey, for the price...I got tired of having to buy a new Lifeproof front every 6-8 months due to the top, right side separating from the clear cover. I purchased the white one for my wife from the same seller (OUTDOOR MALL) and she is also very pleased with the quality of the case. We have joked that in a "time is life" situation you could attack soft body target areas with this thing and have success, as these cases are built like a tank! The weight takes a little getting used to, but all in all these will extend the use of our 4S's for a while. Overall a great experiance with the seller getting both out to the two of us, and I would definately purchase other Items from the seller.
