how long are the handles? the ones I have now take 2 hands to crimp the stay con terminals that we use.

Crimping handles are 6 inches long. You will be able to crimp 22-10 AWG terminals with one hand.

Will this tool work in place of molex mini-fit jr. crimper part# 638190900h?

Will this crimp 8 awg

The five piece set which I have has a die for 10/8 awg wire. The die that comes with the one piece set only goes down to 12/10 but it does have height adjustments and it's a very heavy duty crimper. I wouldn't be surprised if you could get it to do 8 awg. I love this tool actually. It does an excellent job. Maybe they sell the dies separately somewhere if you needed one? I don't know.
