Absolutely love this lock we replacedOur old one on our camper after we had a malfunction with the original! This one was an exact fit an we love it more than the old one the keys are heavier but than the old ones and all around a better unit great price great quality and was very easy to install

When my door latch failed recently I was worried that I would have problems finding a compatible replacement for my 10 yr old fifth wheel. I took a chance on this one as the images and dimensions were similar. I also liked that it was made in the USA. It was a perfect match. It took about 15 minutes to install and works perfectly.

This was a replacement because the original only had one key. This product comes with 4 keys. It fit perfectly in the camper door and was easy to install. Also all metal housing replacing the orginal plastic one.

This is a great product, instillation is straight forward and the unit comes with four keys. I purchased a second lockset after I locked myself out of the trailer. I now have a hidden key. Apparently, when unlocking the trailer the top lock for the handle was locked before the key was removed. With the handle locked you can exit the trailer. Probably a safety feature. To gain access I had to break the lock. Breaking the lock was easy using a pry bar under the handle. The metal in the handle lock is soft metal and was easily to break. Needless to say I destroyed the handle lock. Still, I liked the lock set enough that I purchased a second one. When leaving the trailer both locks are set to ensure the trailer is secure.

The key tumbler came out of one of my old locks. I wanted two with matching keys that would last as long as the original ones. One great part about these is that they are all metal. They installed easily with just a screwdriver. However, within an hour I experienced the 'locked inside' issue others had described. My first thought is that all you need is a phillips screwdriver to get out. If you don't have a phillips screwdriver in your RV then you should get one. In my case, I had another door so I just used that one. Upon inspection, I found that the screws that hold the inner part of the latch to the outer component had come loose a bit. This allowed the tang on inner handle to pass the tang on the outer component. I backed the screws off a bit, re-positioned the inner handle, and tightened the screws again. This time I watched the outer component to be sure the gasket was compressed properly. Once it was, the two tangs cannot pass one another. We just got back from a week out and had zero issues during that week. The only downside I've run into is that mine came with zero grease. None on the bolt, none on the latch, none on the tumbler..... zero grease. Toward the end of the week the latch on the front door (the one we use the most) started to make a scrapping sound when it was used. When we got home I disassembled it, added a bit of grease to the bolt, latch, and tumbler and the problem was solved. I will be doing the same to the back door soon.

Update 7-26-22: The seller responded quickly to my message sent through Amazon and offered to ship me a replacement. I had them ship it to my travel destination and was finally able to install it today. I am extremely pleased with how responsive they were, and am upgrading my rating to 5 stars. While this latch is not designed to last a lifetime, it is superior to the plastic one that came from the RV factory and would make an attempted break-in more difficult.Original review:It installed easily without having to modify the cutout in my RV door, which was 3-1/2 h by 2-7/8 wide. The lock cylinder was a bit picky for the first 2 weeks, then it was “broken in”, I guess.I loved the lock until we arrived at a camp last night in rain, and I coud not get the deadbolt to move into the locked position. The orange lever is plastic and it would be easy to break it when forcing it to rotate. Fortunately I had kept the original door lock assembly and had brought it. Otherwise we would have no way to lock the door from inside.Today, I disassembled the Latch-It lock. It appears that there may have been a second ball bearing for the deadbolt shaft — which is not there anymore. The shaft tries to tilt when it is turned causing a jam.I have submitted a question about this problem to Latch-It. Their website says that they offer a lifetime warranty for products purchased through their website. On the amazon page where I purchased the LATCH.IT Black RV Door Latch, the lifetime warranty is also mentioned. I will update this review with the outcome.

This lock is well made and easy to install. It is a good value. The local RV parts store was charging twice as much for a similar lock.

These locks perfectly replaced the originals on my 2003 Arctic Fox travel trailer.

Fit my RV and is a good replacement. Easy to install and has 4 keys which is great for the family.

Wasn't sure how easy it would be to change the lock myself. But it was very easy. Included instructions where easy to follow. Was happy to find a white one to replace the black one. Love this lock. It even sounds better than the original. I don't have to slam door anymore and hope it stays closed. Door now locks beautifully and stays locked. The material is superb, very strong. Also love that I have 4 keys with it.
