It worked great I had an old splitting axe that was rusted and nicked up. I filed it then put the stone on it at about 25 degrees.

This set had both tools I needed to get my ax sharpened before my trip. Was able to sharpen both axes without any issues. Super easy to use just make sure to sock the stone in water before sharpening. The price for both items in the package is amazing. Couldn’t find the stone anywhere else for the price of this stone and file combined. Definitely a win
