Sweet Little Game
Cute game for preschoolers (and their older siblings.) After the initial disappointment that there was not a dog that looked like their dog, the kids got into this game. From an adult standpoint - the game is well made, has easy to understand instructions, and come in a small yet sturdy box. Never been disappointed with games from this manufacturer. Good to take on trips due to the small size. The seller shipped it on time, it arrived undamaged, so there you go.

We purchased this game after my kids fell in love with Catboodle
As rated by 6yr & 9yr children. We purchased this game after my kids fell in love with Catboodle, the kitty version of this game. We only wish that there were more pieces to make the game last longer. The kiddos have combined the Catboodle & Diggity Dogs to pretend that they are adopting all the animals. Too cute, you can't go wrong for the price!

I think it would be better for 2 or 3 people
I bought this for my dog loving 9 year old for Christmas, knowing we could play it with her 7 year old brother. The instructions are written very simply--but because of that there are some unanswered questions. If someone else doesn't have what you need and you draw from the pile and get what you need do you get to go again or only if you now have all 3? If you draw and get what you need. when can you claim the dog-- on this turn or your next turn? If you get to go again but have no cards because of a match, does drawing a card count as your turn or do you need to draw a card and ask someone for a need? We played with 4 people and no one ever ended up with the most dogs. Time after time it was a 3 way tie with three people getting 2 dogs and another person getting one dog. I think it would be better for 2 or 3 people, not 4. The quality is nice and it is a great touch that the instructions have a little back story on each dog.

I am a Speech-Language Pathologist who uses this game in treatment sessions. It's a great game to target basic social skills (e.g., turn taking) and language (e.g., question asking, matching). The kids I've used it with have enjoyed it, and really love that they get to "adopt" the dogs. The rules are fairly basic to "Go Fish" and can be easily modified to play with younger kids. I will definitely consider getting the cat version of the game.

Missing pieces
One of the stands for dog #7 was missing so I was quite disappointed. Thankfully we have the cat version and used one from that game but I paid for a complete set and now feel like I was not given what I paid for.

Six year old wouldn't play it
Thought it was so cute and my six year old thought it was too babyish to even give a second glance too .

Great game for the entire family
Our family LOVES this game. Our daughter, dog lover and enthusiast, wanted this for her 10th Birthday. The game is a take on go fish. Each player starts with two cards, and needs to collect items that each dog needs in order to adopt them. The player who has adopted the most dogs wins.
