Julep Oxygen Nail Strengthening Treatment, Sheer Pink, 0.27 ounces

To get this stuff to stay put for 3-5 days, start by gently but thoroughly washing your fingers, nails, and nail beds with a toothbrush and dish soap to REMOVE ALL NATURAL OILS from the area. Oil will keep this treatment polish from adhering properly, so this is an important first step. If in doubt about oil residue around the nailbed, use a cotton ball dipped in rubbing alcohol instead to fully remove the oils from your finger tips and nail bed. Make sure your nail bed is completely dry by waiting at least 5-10 minutes. Then apply two light coats of the treatment polish, allowing 3-5 minutes dry time between them. Wait one hour after last coat dries before you moisturize your nail bed. I use this exact process for any type of polish application and always get a polish application that lasts at least 3-7 days, even with gardening, cleaning, dish washing, etc.

My initial reaction is positive. I have to say that I'm reserving judgment though. According to the product description, this is a TREATMENT, not a POLISH. Which is why I bought it. My nails just won't TAKE polish... .turns 'em yellow and just generally icky looking. I haven't been able to wear polish in years. So. When I saw the write up I jumped on this product. Just got it yesterday and so far it's great. Went on smoothly and left my nails with a really pretty natural looking shine. I used two coats, but I think one would have sufficed. I'm pleased, BUT! Seems to me the stuff smells awfully like nail polish. And if it "walks like a Duck" . . . Hmmmm. I'll update if the results turn "polish like".

I absolutely LOVE Julep!!!! Almost all their nail colors stay on for 2 weeks with no extra cost or gel. The strengthing polish has been working great. I did though learn to only put 1 coat on then another a few days later.I tried 2 costs the first time and it chipped. Then I tried 1 coat and another the fallowing day. Same thing happened. Every 4 days has worked for me.I can't say enough about the whole line!!!!! This is the 1st time I have bought this brand on Amazon. I usually buy them from Julep.com but Amazon had it cheaper. Woo Hoo

I agree with "not worth the money" review. It did nothing for me and when I did use it, I think my nails started to get more brittle because my nails started to easily crack. I concluded that this was the cause because my nails didn't have the same problem when I stopped using it. I can't believe they are actually pricing this nail polish 3 times more than others in the market that does a better job. Don't mind paying more if the product will do what it says. Very disappointed.

Ok product . Not quite what I was hoping for. I haven’t had it long enough to determine if it will help my nails . What I can tell you is that it’s not very durable or last long. If you’re someone who uses your hands a lot ...computer, dishes and hand washing this may require re application more than once a week.

Finally! A strengthening nail polish that actually works! I have tried them all and have spent too much money trying to repair my aging, drying, splitting, peeling, breaking nails! I found this product via a women's magazine and immediately placed the order. I have used this for 7 days with fantastic results! My nails are strong now where they used to break if I even hit my finger against my skin just right. I have smacked my fingers against all kinds of things and my nails don't chip or break!! I am thrilled! I bought the sheer pink shade and put 2 coats on plus top with the Sally Hansen strengthening top coat. The polish lasts about 5 days before chipping a tiny bit on the ends.

I purchased this to try Julep products, and also because every time I have my nails shellac'ed they're damaged. No matter how I have the shellac removed it always makes my nails peel and break afterwards. I had my nails done with shellac for my wedding, and afterwards hoped this polish would help them get back to good health faster. The polish is a very milky pink-ish color. One coat kind of looks like your nails are cloudy. Two coats helps give the impression that there's actually a polish on your nails and they aren't just a weird color. It chips really quickly, and the chips aren't super noticeable as it's so close to my natural nail color anyway. I didn't notice any significant improvement from using this polish. Other than being a polish you can keep on your nails in between paint to help mask any peeling or rough damaged spots, I don't really like to use it.

I'm giving my poor nails a break from gel polish because they've become so thin and fragile, so I got this treatment, and after a day I am already really happy. First of all, it is super easy to apply - goes on in a thin even coat and doesn't look gloppy, color distributes evenly instead of pooling in places like some sheer color can do, and it dries really fast! And my nails look beautiful. I think this treatment looks better on my nails than most sheer pink gel polishes I have tried in the past and I absolutely will continue using.
