Way flimsier metal than the one my mother had years ago... Bends easier than would be ideal so you have to hold it closed really tight way down on the tongs... but better than wasting a bunch of the fruit by cutting off the whole top to get the core

these are great price for the product. I use them to help with fine motor skills for kids. makes them use tripod grip which is proper grip for kids when holding pencil. Recommend to parents who have kids that are having handwriting issues.
