Clever game of logic
Got this for my 7 year old niece. Took a bit of getting to grips with but she has good concentration skills and really liked it once she got going. Need an adult to help get them started with it maybe. Well made and good design. Comes with storage back to keep all the bits together.

The whole family love this game ... brilliant.
This review is for "Walk The Dog" game from Smart Games.Contents1 x game board3 x people with dogs on a leash1 x sitting dog2 x cats1 x tree1 x booklet which lists the challenges and the answers (if required)1 x drawstring bag for storing the piecesAgeThis game is perfectly suited for the manufacturer's suggested age of children seven years old and over as well as adults. However my six year old granddaughter has also played and thoroughly enjoyed some of the very early levels in this game, so maybe six years and over is more appropriate.Design/qualityThis is a very well designed and thought out game. All of the pieces are good quality with no sharp edges or unfinished bits.In useThis is an absolutely brilliant game ... it tests your logic, planning and problem solving abilities to the max. It's very simple in concept but can be very addictive and challenging in reality. This is a single person game and you are faced with 80 challenges starting at an easy level and then increasing in difficulty up to the 80th level. And believe me when I say some of the higher levels are very hard to solve indeed. The idea is to place the dog, cats and tree following the set up in the booklet, then you need to solve the puzzle ... by placing the owners with their dogs on leads around the board. Sounds simple? It isn't ... you have to make sure that the lead is fully extended straight ahead, that none of the leads cross each other, nor go over the obstacles, nor be placed diagonally.I like** Ingenious game** Great fun** Can be played by yourself or with others** Well made** Increases logic, planning, cognitive abilities, problem solving etc.** Relieves boredom** The 80 challenges are very well thought out** And if you really want to cheat ... the solutions to the puzzles are included in the booklet.I dislike** Nothing it's all goodPriceI think the price of £18.56 (price correct at the time of this review) is a fair price for this game ... after all someone had to come up with the 80 challenges.Highly recommended

Mind-boggling game for one.
You don't see too many solo player games any more. So it’s nice to see this one. Of course, more than one person can get involved and help. At first, it looked a bit confusing as to exactly what you were supposed to do with it. You have to read the instructions a few times! It comes in a printed retail box which is quite nice. You get a green base with a 4x4 matrix. With that, you get three dog walkers complete with dogs on leads, but each lead is a different length. As well as this you get a couple of cats and a tree. The idea is to set up a board where no dogs or cats are directly adjacent to each other (perpendicularly). They can only be diagonal to each other. The walkers and dogs have to have their leads fully extended and straight. The lead can go around a tree as long as it’s at right angles. That’s basically the rules. Looks easy until you actually try to do it.The instruction booklet shows many challenging layouts that you have to complete. The layouts and the answers are separated in the booklet, so no cheating! The current price is just under £22 which seems a bit steep in my opinion, although the quality of the parts is very high.Overall, mind-boggling game for one. I hope that helps.

Not convinced
I'm not quite sure what to say about this game. It comes boxed and is really sturdy and well made.It comes with a book with 80 puzzles.Firstly you put in a couple of pieces, and then you have to work out where the others will fit. There are certain rules - that dogs and cats can't be next to each other, that leads must be tight etc; which means you have to think about placement. Some of the puzzles are really simple, and can be solved instantly - including some of the supposedly hard ones. Some of them have more than one correct answer, although that isn't shown in the answer part of the booklet. I'm not the brain of Britain, but I didn't find this game very challenging at all.I think that children who are starting to get into logic puzzles (around the ages of 6-8 maybe?) would probably enjoy this for a while, and it would be fun helping them think it through. Older children will soon get bored I think, as would adults, after doing a few of the puzzles. If I had £20 to spend on a logic game, it wouldn't be spent on this one.
