OK for the cost
Truth is these are very cheap, so much isnt to be expected.DO EXPECT the following:The green dye WILL rub off on your hands, clothes, face, everywhere. Its a cheap dye and doesnt weather well, so you will have light/dark brown bamboo rods in a few weeks. I've had outdoors for 2 weeks and there are large chunks exposed of brown. They will not last long. These will get you through the season, but dont expect much more. They are skinny, so multi year use is probably stretching it. I got these to build tomato/pepper cages and for a different look. For multi-year use, its better to just get the standard metal ones.Note: This package was packed decent enough, so i doubt there was any damage from shipping itself. There were however 3 broken rods in the package. Im assuming they were packaged broken since there was no visible damage to the long square box they ship in. Wasn't worth the hassle to return/complain and i ended up using the smaller stakes.Bottom line: You get what you pay for.

They are really nice for that price
The package arrived in time, really fast, and I bought 2 packs of stakes (50 pcs), I have a lot of plants in my garden! I can say some of them are thick and some are really thin, but they do look very good. I started immediately stick them into the ground to fix my plants and a few of them broke, but as I said already for that price.... It is ok!! I'll use the broken ones for my smaller plants. Only ONE THING I can't understand - who decided to put this horrible green paint on them? It's all over my hands.... I even used the gloves to stick them in the ground... Usually I never do this!!! I hope after a few really heavy rains we have here in Florida they'll turn back to it's natural color.... I hope so! LOL :)

Sturdier than I was expecting
Many of the reviewers stated that the bamboo poles were flimsy and broke during use, but I didn't have this problem. One end is thinner than the other on most of the poles, so I just use the thicker end to push into the ground. I haven't had a single one of the stakes break or crack yet.I would have probably preferred a more natural look (the green paint is a bit fake-looking up close), but they do the job and don't look too out of place in the garden. Not sure about the longevity of the stakes from season to season, so I'll have to update next year on whether or not I'm able to use them again.Overall, the cost was acceptable for the quality of the product.

these stakes seem fine. I've used about 15 of them already and ...
Structurally, these stakes seem fine. I've used about 15 of them already and none broke in the process. My one big complaint is that the stakes seem to have been dyed with a water soluble dye. My hands were a little wet while handling them, and ended up completely green from the dye, and after a few days in the rain, the stakes are only partially green at this point. One other thing to note is that most of the stakes are about the same diameter, but a few of them are skinnier (but still sturdy enough for use).

The green dye comes off on your hands
Very sturdy, thick stakes. Only thing is the green dye comes off on your hands super easy, looks like I just choked out a leprechaun. I didn't deduct a star for that though, its not a big deal, its just that I don't hand out 5 stars just because it dose what its supposed to do anymore. You get 4 for that, for 5 its gotta go above and beyond, and be reasonably priced. The price was fair, but not a SUPER-BARGIN, Im satisfied though.

Used to stake bell pepper plants
I have my bell peppers in half drums of 55 gallon plastic barrels--filled with top soil and other amendments. We have a lot of wind storms here and I knew I needed to stabilize these plants so that bad weather did not break the plants. These stakes worked out perfectly to stabilize my plants. We had a wind and hale storm the other night and my plants are still standing up right--the peppers themselves are a little damaged by the hale, but not enough to destroy the peppers. The stakes were easy to push into the dirt, but then the soil in the barrels was good top soil so I can't speak for how easy these would be to use in ground that is hard. I would buy these stakes again.

These are great for gardening
These are great for gardening. I received the item and used them to stake my peppers and tomatoes in pots. I liked that the stakes were easy to cut through for resizing. The only downfall is that the green coloring of the stakes did come off onto my hands when planting. I would just suggest wearing gloves. Otherwise, I thought this was a great product and would buy again.

Bamboo stakes
These stakes are better than the Bond 4' bamboo stakes I purchased earlier and had vowed never to buy bamboo again. But seeing the reviews for this , I wanted to take another chance. I was prepared for the green color on the palms but was not prepared for the extant to which some of the stakes are bend. Don't drive them directly into the soil, use a stronger shorter plastic stake to make your hole first then send in the bamboo otherwise you are going to get multiple stakes in your hand
