The size is right
I wanted a compact dish rack to fit the 14.5-inch-wide space between my sink and refrigerator and still leave room at the front of the counter to set down items I'm pulling out of the fridge. There aren't a lot of options in this size (13.5 inches long), and I like that the rails are set into the crossbars only partway into their thickness, so that, unlike the 6-year-old bamboo model from Crate and Barrel I was replacing, rails can't pop out of their slots with weight and use over time. It's nice that I probably won't have to glue the rails of this one back in place on a regular basis. On the other hand, the lower crosspieces of the top section are merely glued to the supporting ends—on the bottom side of the support, such that the weight of dishes may eventually separate the crosspiece from the end piece—but it wouldn't be hard to drill a couple of holes and add small screws to avoid this potential problem. My main problem with this design is that the plate rails are set farther apart (5/8" gaps compared to 3/8" with the C&B model), too wide to comfortably catch the edges of many of my smaller dishes (and wasteful of space, as narrower gaps would have allowed a couple more rails). Even dinner plates lean slightly instead of standing upright. Also, the rack I was replacing had a flat bottom shelf, which was handy for silverware and utensils. This one doesn't have a place for such items—I think you can buy a utensil basket separately, but I just set flatware and small items out to dry on the clean dishtowel I put under the rack every day to keep water off the counter.

Sturdy
I went in search of a well-built wooden dish rack, and this is the one I found. I chose this one because the slot beams are inset in the top cross-beams of wood. I have had it for 2 years and it has yet to fall apart. The only flaw with this design is that your plates must fit down inside (between the top cross beams) in order to stand up. If you were to chose a dish rack where the slot beams were elevated, you could stand up larger plates. With that said, this dish rack is large enough that it should accommodate most round dinner plates. It is when you get into square dinner plates that you may or may not be able to stand them up in here. I have two different sets of nearly-identical squared stoneware plates and one set fits great and the other set just barely fits.As with any other wood or bamboo product, water quickly wears away the finish. To restore this, I just rub in mineral oil every week or two. If you don't have mineral oil, vegetable or olive oil work too, but they will need to be reapplied more often. (You can do this with to restore the finished look to any other wood or bamboo items in your house.)If you leave this dish rack sitting on a damp towel, over and over again, it will start to get moldy along the bottom. This is going to happen with any bamboo or wood product. If this is a problem for you, choose a plastic or metal rack instead. When mold started to form on mine, I just sponged the offending areas with hydrogen peroxide. You could also try wiping it down with bleach. However, if you put away the dishes as soon as they are dry and remove the rack from the wet towel beneath it, you shouldn't see mold growth.

Nice and Small
I was excited about this dish rack because it folds up and looks nice, and it delivered in both of those areas! However, it is pretty small and I have trouble fitting dishes from a two-person meal on it. If I lived alone it might be perfect, but as it is I will get something else.

Smaller size perfect for one side of my double sink
I looked hard for a slightly smaller sink to put in one side of my double sink having to send one back, too large then ordering one too small and kept it but got tired of not being able to store drying dishes, etc. neatly standing up fitting nicely. This one fits super well in my sink and neater. Moral for me is to measure the inside of the sink and be careful to do from top rims not bottom because of the rims taking up more room. This is attractive, seems to clean well but I can’t fit anything in the bottom space for storage but does not really matter. I would also like some way to put utensils to dry without falling through the large slats. Putting them in diagonally on the slats seems to take care of that. I looked so hard and this fit so well, I ordered two more for the future because it was so tricky to find this one.

Fits my sink perfectly!
I hate seeing dishes drying in a counter-top rack. So I found this one that suited my space requirements to be placed in the left side of my two-sided sink. Most dish drying racks I tried are made of steel. After a year or so they begin to look dingy and, by then, they are prone to leave rust stains in my granite sink. This rack with its accompanying utensils caddy fit my sink as if they were made for each other. And wood does not rust.

Smaller than anticipated, does fold up and store nicely
I had a similar bamboo dish rack that lasted for maybe 8 years, and it was time to replace. I like buying bamboo because it grows fast and replenishes the environment- hopefully it really does, and the bamboo farms are pleasant and habitable. This rack appears to be very well made, it is just somewhat smaller than I expected. 6 inches longer would be helpful, I sometimes have to wash dishes in 2 rounds because it does not hold them all. Small, minor inconvenience because I could dry the dishes. Worth buying for sure, folds up and stores nicely.

Superb Teak Styled Dish Rack
Beautifully crafted dish rack that is compact and extremely sturdy for dishes, and pots and pans. Detailed finishes set this brand apart from all others by another product: curved corners, plus tougher slated fret-work. Perfect for any tight, smaller spaces within all types of kitchen layouts to interior tastes.

Nicely presented, good quality product
Nicely presented, good quality, compact dish rack. Much nicer than metal or plastic ones. Only complaint is that smaller plates don't fit correctly into slots.

A solid product.
Perfect for a kitchen with limited counter space. I picked bamboo because it last a long time, and I love the look of natural wood. Holds enough dishes for two people, plus more. I also purchased the cutlery rack. The total package looks good as well as being very functional. I am very pleased with my purchase.

Good dishrack, buy it you wont regret it
I have to admit, i got this dishrack for sprouting so i can tilt my jars and allow airflow. But i have been drying some dishes on the rack and i feel like they dry much faster than the standard dish racks. Perhaps its the abundance of air flow. I also own a simple human dish rack but now prefers this one. I just place a drying mat underneath to catch all the drips. It folds small and compact too for good storage

Best dish rack ever!
Best dish rack I have ever used. Holds enough for a single person and doesn't damage dishes by accident if you hit them against it (oops happens). Looks great and I've had it a long time and it's very sturdy and doesn't build up mold or look gross or anything so far. Would recommend.
