Propped the hood open with a broomstick and installed by myself. Lots of instructional videos on YouTube. Works great.

As advertised. These are a great bargain relative to the cost of the Euro / USA brands.Needed to refresh these on a vintage Porsche and they did the trick. Definitely recommend.NOTE: I did have to do a little trimming / tinkering with the cable retainer sleeve that goes around the strut for the 911 engine cover. The neck of the ball joint is not relieved like the OE one's so the cable boot won't clamp back on easily, you have to either trim the neck of the strut (not advised, or just leave the top part of the cable retainer unclipped, and zip tie it.. I chose the latter.

Wrong
It was described as a replacement for the strut on my 911, However, it was WAY too short. Not Happy about this...

Good budget replacement but build quality is not at the level of oem.

Installed on my 2002 Carrera 4 Cabriolet(996). Works great, only took a few minutes to install.The original failed after 20 years, so here's hoping for another 20 out of this one.Yes it is the rear hood, or the actual hood, not the frunk.
