Quality
This is a good basic mix. Quality grains. Has really made my mash in a breeze. This particular mixture has given my liquor a clean more smooth finish.

Good ole shine! Disregard the haters!
First, people need to stop trying to be a professional home brewer. You wouldn't be on Amazon if you were making top notch spirits. That being said, there's nothing wrong with adding all the grains for brewing, you just need to watch your temps and add amylase (if needed). The instructions that come with it are on par with the kit and turns a out a great product in the end. I didn't use amylase personally, I just got it to 165 and let it sit in a bucket until I was ready to pitch the yeast. Came out around 120 from the worm. Smooth and delicious.

No complaints
Did come premixed, but was not an issue for me. Product turned out fine. Little higher yield that just cracked corn.

Not at all what is presented in the description.
While I was anticipating what was in the description, what I received was, shall I say, a complete disappointment. To begin, my 10 pound bag was 9 pounds, 9 ounces. More significantly, all of the corn, barley, and rye were combined. That doesn't seem like much, however the corn and the grains are introduced at different temperatures. I know I should have just sent the whole order back, shame on me. The trouble wasn't worth the amount. Add to that, the surface of the mash were floating remnants of ground cob.For the same amount of money, one can by roughly 150 pounds of cleaned, cracked corn, which is what I will do instead of ordering Moonshiners Blend again.

Like others have reported, the grains are all mixed in together.
My grains came in two 5lb bags, but each bag has the corn, barley & rye all mixed in. Not sure if it's going to matter to my mash, as I'm about to start it today, but as others have said here, you should add the grains at different points in the mash, at different temperatures.I guess buy cheap, get cheap. At least everybody has also said the quality of the grains is excellent.
