Q: I've read many, many reviews. Is it easy to assemble or not? Please reply if you are a verified purchaser. Thanks

This is made with good quality heavy steel for the main parts and comes with its own little screwdriver and little flat wrench as well as screws and bolts. The problems begin with the assembly instructions which are terrible - diagrams don't show much and are small; one assembly element is totally out of sequence - so don't count on their instructions for much help. Now, in actual real life to put this together you WILL need: a ratcheting screwdriver with multiple heads; a good rubber mallet; a slip joint wrench; a set of closed head flat wrenches; a 12-16" heavy steel ratcheting bar clamp; a good small power drill with metal bits; and, your own set of various size bolts and nuts as well as a good assortment of small screws. I HAD to use every item listed above because: (1) 2 leg units of heavy steel were 1/4 inch smaller than the steel unit that had to fit between them; the table handle ripped out as soon as it was touched; the bolts holding the braces for the table were too small and weak to work; etc. If you are patient, good with tools, and work at it you can probably put this flawed design together in one full day, with effort. If you don't have strong hands don't even try. Having done the above, you'll find that the small wire closure for the lid is way too weak to hold the lid down; the lid won't want to go over the water tray and grill plates without a lot of experimentation and force. So, don't throw away the box! I like the idea behind this design. I like the size and relative light weight. But, I wouldn't buy it again or recommend it. I put it together out of sheer stubbornness and bitterly cursing Coleman and the manufacturers of this all along the way.

Q: Can you turn off the burner on one side to cook using indirect heat?

Instead of 2 individual burners it has one oval burner that has an inner & outer burner . You can have one or both on.

Q: does this arrive assembled?

Some assembly is required to assemble and attach the stand. Low level of difficulty.

Q: can it be easily separated from legs for tabletop use?

The propane screws in from the bottom. So it needs to be fully extended with the legs.
